You're just repeating yourself now Guy. The $400k first sales was just to support the sales training. That costs money. They aren't training up thousands of people to use those machines if they don't expect to sell tens of millions of tests.
And BC are included on the UK framework for PCR tests and testing infrastructure. There's an £8 billion budget attached to that framework. GDR will get some of it too.

Interesting to hear different experiences with investing. I haven't lost anything on GDR. Bought at 56p and £1.29 and sold at £1.44, £1.34 and £1.31. Bought in today at 85p. I was expecting poor trading results but I expected more confidence looking forward. My guess is we will get more confidence in the presentation tomorrow. I normally just buy long but you have to keep reappraising actively every day. It's very tough though investing hey. Hardest thing I have ever done and I have put my time in over the years with the long hours culture in our country.

It was almost too bad though wasn't it? I have noticed that Aim stocks sometimes do this just before really good news. I think that they may well want to unload as many PIs before they get into new territory. Might be wishful thinking. But 'uncertainty ' re FDA and WHO timing is a given. Why say that? It just means that medical health authorities follow due process. They don't tell anyone anything before approval other than the public recognition of the progress of the product. And we can see that this is progressing. I think it's lowball but it happens time and again.

The Telegraph is quoting Sir John Bell discussing the aspiration to eliminate the virus eventually. The challenge is the South African variant which he says does not prevent transmission. Alongside our global connectivity through business and travel we have to help the whole world get vaccinated. That will take a couple of years. At the moment the market is looking at the speed of the UK vaccination program. Within days we are going to hear about new generation rapid tests and a much greater focus on their role in getting the r rate down and keeping it down. As soon as either Mologic or Avacta results are in we will hear about nothing else as the government aim to get society back to life, safely. Only one way this is going.

P&O are saying that they will be offering domestic cruises as an alternative holiday. They say they have waiting lists for 10s of thousands. They will be using lateral flow tests at the company's expense. On about a minute ago.

Did anyone notice yesterday's FT said that GAD are expanding capacity beyond 200 million per year? So I guess that suggests they could fulfill their commitment for 40 million a year for developing countries and supply over 100million to the UK government. It also explains the discrepancy on the value of contracts for ODX and GAD (£1.2 billion). It also makes sense that ODX will also be able to deliver vs other strategic objectives for the ABC19 and CD4 as stated in the recent RNS. I'm inclined to lean towards the Twitteratti theory. Wouldn't want to put a firm figure on it. But looks like the £374 million will be to cover something closer to 50 million. The excess capacity will extend revenues obviously. If they are paying over £7 for an antigen lft test to ODX for manufacturing I wonder whether that will impact the pricing policy for antibody lfts? Big rerate to come here imo.

No-one should be shooting you Goldtrig. You're a good, valued poster and you are clearly invested which can't be said for all posters here unfortunately. I must admit I really don't care which test we make as long as we sell everything we can make! I am not sure ODX or government know because Mologic and Avacta tests are still being evaluated. The only sure thing is that ODX and GAD are making them. Which should inspire a great deal of confidence.
In other news Scotland have published their testing strategy now. The Scottish government also see a long term future for testing and an increased role to support us to get back to normal, suppress outbreaks and monitor cases. Over 1 million tests a day are now being done in the UK. Moving across to a UK based supply.

Good news indeed. It does occur to me that GAD expanded their capacity by 40 million last Summer. They stated at the time they announced this that this was intended for supply of Mologic tests to developing countries. They received financial support from the Gates foundation to this end. So I am wondering how they will manage to supply to the UK government without assistance. And ODX have a longstanding partnership agreement with Mologic which predates the formation of the UK RATC which we know was set up behind the scenes only in November. The UK Rapid Antigen Test Consortium is not the same as the UK Rapid Test Consortium for antibody lfts.
There are more questions than answers on this share atm. I have my glass half full of course. I see the GAD contract as undoubtedly a good thing. Like everyone I expect, I would like to see more transparency about what is going on. Less than 2 weeks to April when ODX will be manufacturing 2 million tests a week for one or more provider. So one way or another uncertainty will soon become clarity and a re-rate is on the cards.

Computer 909, chief troll and what are you mate? A shorter or a day trader? Obviously those are my assumptions. But hardly made up. The DHSC press release says 200 million to GAD and ODX. ODX have 100 million capacity. GAD have about the same. So a reasonable assumption. I have said I think it's more likely to be about 80 million because ODX have said they will be able to fulfill other expected demand (RNS 11th Feb).

It's simple.. £374 million is the estimated first contract award for up to 100 million tests. The revenue is more than double the market cap.

Yep. Coverage in the Times today and FT yesterday. Contract award estimated £374 million. Up to 100 million. Worth bearing in mind that the RNS 11th February said ODX will have sufficient capacity to fulfill orders for ABC19 antibody tests and PCR tests so it could be for 80-90 million. Gross profit will be higher than 50%. It was 65% for ABC19 tests. But the scale of the order which those costs were based on did not anticipate a scale like this. ODX didn't have this kind of capacity at the time of last year's investors presentation. Obviously costs reduce as scale increases. Fixed costs for overheads are diluted.
Sometimes the market takes it's time to respond. We have higher than average buying and selling. My guess is that the mms are chucking out L&G now assuming they are under orders to sell. Better to get them done before Mologic reports back. Worth putting a buy limit order on. I have put one on for 91p for the week. Or just buy if you are not actually in yet.
