RE: SP should be £1.10 at least MM's taking the **** not letting it fly12 Mar 2021 13:50
Oops. Must stop doing maths in my head. 7.5 billion ( assumes 500 million award for Surescreen is coming out of the 8 billion on bidstats) divided by 260 million ( Dido Harding's testimony to the Public Accounts committee, House of Commons was for 280, assuming less the recently published Surescreen contract) is not £20. It's £28.84 per test.
Tbh, government keep moving the goalposts wider from our point of view. The opportunity just keeps growing. Again, I don't think we will get £28. But the reason I felt confident to buy at £1 is that I don't believe the numbers talked about when the RTC agreement was signed are relevant anymore. That agreement is out of date btw. In the US they are subsidising labs to produce PCRs with incentive payments that just seem astronomical- $100 dollars a test according to David Budd, CEO of GDR. So this is an international market and the opportunity cost of committing to the UK is worth money. I think we are looking at a whole different circumstance for the pricing policy. Joe Biden has landed. Trump the numpty fascist, anti science, anti- testing is over. It creates a bit of a premium when there's this continuous commitment worldwide for testing. Anyway, unless Mologic put out news, I am signing out for today. GLA. Have a nice weekend.
