Roche were boasting about being first in line for this test all week! Wonder how much they will want to pay for the IP? V happy to be in this before it shoots for the bloody stars!

I think the answer is no-one else! We are a nanosecond away from getting formally approved. Two well respected specialist medical schools have approved the test. Why is Mologic preparing a manufacturing site if it isn't super confident they have this? I thought yesterday's covid briefing showed a rare and unified confidence that this type of test will be ready. Best chance to get in under 40p. Once validation from PHE is confirmed we are flying!

We need 300,000 straight away for an initial massive random study to see how many people have already had CV19 and to find out more about how it has spread. Mologic Ltd, a leading developer of lateral flow and rapid diagnostic technologies, today announced that it will begin manufacturing its laboratory diagnostic test for COVID-19. Following successful independent validation by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and St George’s, University of London, the test has also been submitted to Public Health England for formal validation.

Mologic has entered into a Material Transfer Agreement with Omega Diagnostics Ltd (“Omega”) and Omega will immediately start manufacture of Mologic’s first-generation ELISA diagnostic tests. The laboratory-based ELISA diagnostic test is expected to produce up to 46,000 results per day, potentially contributing a significant portion of the UK government’s planned 100,000 tests per day.

If we get news on the same day as the placing is approved the sp is going to rocket. With placing. Before placing. After placing. Rocketing. On confirmation that the test is even ready. On confirmation of manufacturing arrangements. Distribution arrangements. Worldwide orders. UK orders. US orders. Licensing agreement and terms. Rocketing.

Yes this is an international market because it's a pandemic! So any credible treatments and other tests could have an impact for some investors. The important factor for me is that Avacta are producing affirmers which reduce reliance on scarce reagents towards the production of antigens- not antibodies. The anti-body tests show whether you have had the virus and now have immunity showing. It doesn't necessarily show if you have the virus now. Avacta's test like NCYT's test shows if you have it right now. Avacta's is much faster and it will be suitable for mass coverage and mass usage.
The market might be dropping today because Roche say they have an antibody test. We need both types of test. Ours is the other one and is purported to be best in class.
Or it could be influenced by news of lots of trials starting today for treatments and vaccines. We will still need testing. Our tests are constructed in such a way that they might be more easily adapted in the future to mutations or other coronavirus'.
