They are basically alleging massive disinformation with government collusion. They are saying that PHE commissioned work which found accuracy was less than claimed. And advised government that the evaluation had confirmation bias built in. Sir John Bell, was overseeing that evaluation and told the world they were gold standard.
Then they allowed other evaluations to be leaked showing great results ( Ulster self test assessment). These were leaked to the Telegraph and the Times and the Mail. Lord John Bethell, junior minister for health then tweeted how fabulous the tests were according to the self assessment. All the time, knowing that they were not as described. A lot of reputations at stake here. Not just some Aim CEO taking the ****. This involves Lord Bethel, the DHSC and the RTC. Someone better get their finger out and challenge the central allegation. Pretty soon I would imagine.
