I noticed the government have just published the proposed act of parliament for restrictions and exceptions. Unfortunately even more tier 3 areas than previously expected according to press reports since Friday. Now it's likely to be ( assuming it's passed tomorrow) the North West except Cumbria, the North East, Yorkshire and Humber, East and West Midlands, Kent and Bristol. The review is December 30th. The way out of tier 3 (not far off lockdown) is for mass testing to demonstrate falling cases which Liverpool recently achieved as the pilot. I have already added to my investment last week. Now is the time to be bold. Mologic's test will leave Innova standing. CK said in today's recorded interview,
we'll hear about their evaluation 'imminently'. Tech transfer has started. The market is confused but it will wake up and join the dots before too long. GLA. Stay safe.

Hello there ODX investors. I haven't posted for a few weeks. My father died and I am going to Spain to help my mum sort things out.
I am pretty happy about today's presentation. I expected they would recognise additional testing because the EDSAB report which the peer review was based on, recognised serious flaws in the methodology and said they were continuing testing. Good to see that MHRA now only requires that the RTC do another self use test. Shouldn't take much longer now for approval.
Good news too that Colin King is now on record as confirming that they expect ABC 19 test will be used to confirm the vaccine efficacy with individuals and to determine strategy over booster requirements. A market for around 50 million antibody tests right there in the UK alone.
In the meantime the government 'Winter Plan ' set out last week shows a massive 130 million market for continued testing in the UK for antigen lfts. All tier 3 populations, plus the contacts of all positive cases x 7 ( daily tests required for a week to reduce quarantine), plus care workers, care home residents and their visitors, NHS workers, university students, and all the contacts of anyone testing positive across the country x 7. I worked it out the other night based on ONS population stats for each of these groups and the level of infections at the time. But take a look at the maths yourself. Mologic is clearly at the front of development and validation queues for a UK product which the PM has confirmed we want to buy going forward. And it looks like all 3 lfts are close to international approval from both the US and the EU. Biden wants a test for every American. It's taken longer than we thought but we will get there soon.

Js1990, yeah there's a specification on the MHRA site. But they are already using the Innova antigen test in the Liverpool pilot and they formally awarded the contract, though it's much less sensitive than any of our tests at just over 70% sensitivity.
As such it also doesn't meet the required spec. I guess it's because Innova completed the stage 4 evaluation before anyone else. The likelihood is they will use a better lft once they complete the evaluation process. We don't know who the 5th and 6th tests which are next in line are. Then there's another 3 under consideration.

Not sure who is a 'top poster' and I am not someone that is uber-critical of Walbrook. But here goes:
1. Emphasise the value of the ABC19 antibody test in supporting the roll out of vaccines.
2. Recognise the breadth and depth of our cv19 related portfolio (5 tests).
3. Recognise our role as part of the UK diagnostics industry for mass testing

Symbol1, I am saying that the Abingdon Health pr is very resonant of the same strategy pursued by multi national pharmas who anticipated the need for antibody tests to form part of the vaccine roll out months ago. I have said clearly that this was months ago. We have only just been advised that we are part of that approach haven't we?

Symbol1, no I'm not saying that. I'm saying ABC19 antibody tests have been developed to support vaccine roll out according to Abingdon. We have some already manufactured. We are scaling up dramatically from next month and next year. Demand could be to support vaccine roll out and/or to support airlines and mass testing with Mologic's antigen/Omega's Visitect brand.

Gazza, I know the Sarah Bosely report was a nightmare of course. They don't have an editorial policy on this issue. So they also had a blog from Professor Roseveld from Edinburgh explaining clearly that we do have immunity- the vast majority of us who have recovered do. They've had just as much positive stories. So positive stories can also influence our sp just as negative ones can. We can complain about the negative stuff if it's nonsense but the reality is they are read and it's good for us if they've changed their tune. I'm not bigging up the Guardian. I'm trying to share the fact that the discourse is going our way.

Yep. Telegraph saying the same thing as me (oh dear?!). I am just saying what Roche and Siemens and our very own Abingdon Health are saying. We need billions of antibody tests to roll out the vaccines. Efficacy has to be monitored for all different kinds of demographics but Roche and Siemens are saying 'billions' will need one. I think the UK government are holding onto the ABC19 test to this end.

The Guardian's live news post say that the US has issued emergency use for authorisation of a self administered test for CV19 for home testing and for use in hospitals etc.
They have also shared a report today that they describe as 'fascinating and heartwarming' from Professor Michael Mina, a lead for epidemiology and immunology at Harvard's School of Public Health, 'How to Stop the Spread of Covid 19 by Christmas'. They also describe it as 'really powerful stuff'. Professor Michael says we should be mass testing with cheap, very regular antigen tests and we must not let the search for 'perfection be the enemy of good'.. Meanwhile in the UK the Minister for Northern Ireland has just asked Johnson on PM's Question time when they can meet to discuss mass testing in Northern Ireland and the program for mass testing continues to be set up through over 70 initiatives across the UK .

I promised yesterday to share my thinking on antibody tests. It's a tough old world out there what with the likes of reprobates like Richard Tice (of UKIP) sharing doctored reports and L&G selling this stock since they have sold to Fidelity- more on this in my next post.
So my thoughts are along the lines of the state of our sp and what it means for us? Are the trolls and the traders right when they undermine the share? Have we investors who buy long for a good short/medium or long term return got it all wrong?
Well, let's start with Abingdon Health's claim that they have developed their antibody test with the RTC to focus on the key spike protein which gives a better indication of whether the vaccine is effective. There's plenty out there trying to hurt confidence on this claim.
I just want to share a couple of reports from Roche and from Siemens who started back in September to develop antibody tests because they saw a need for antibody tests to support the roll out of vaccines. Hmmm. A couple of multi-national pharmas who see a need for antibody tests to accompany the roll out of 'billions' of vaccines? How do they know that this is worth the massive investment they have undertaken to work to achieve this? I mean are they talking to vaccine producers or anything? Lol! I guess you can see where I'm going with this guys and gals! I pointed out on Friday that the Pfizer CEO said on TV that you check the vaccine efficacy with a blood test- my assumption was it would be an antibody test.

Hi guys, I am a bit knackered tonight. Horrible day. I will share the links to the Roche and Siemens plans for antibody tests with the specific intention of supporting vaccines roll out for billions of people tomorrow. I know it's competition but ODX can't supply the whole world anyway. We will sell everything we make if that's the intention. Encouraging that two multi- national pharmaceuticals have come to the same conclusion.
I will also share a clear and unequivocal evidence base to illustrate 1. the Richard Tice (from UKIP) tweet aiming to undermine the whole idea of mass testing using lfts and PCRs which includes a clearly doctored extract from a report purporting to be from Liverpool city council 2. The extract from the same doctored report shared by Twatcher on this board though omitting the fact that it is taken from Richard Tice's tweet and 3. The actual report from Liverpool city council so that everyone can see the changes which are completely manipulated to say something completely different.
Unfortunately this is what we are up against though I suspect not for long.

I have just done a bit of a search on antibody tests and vaccines. Interesting to note that both Roche and Siemens are also trying to get into this space, both companies have defined demand for antibody tests in rolling out billions of vaccines. Good news I'd say? Obviously competition but reassuring in the political pressure cooker that investing in this space seems to have turned out to be. I suspect that is why we haven't fallen as much as other cv19 stocks. The market thinks our antibody tests will be needed.
I will share a couple of articles to illustrate the point from my pc.

The data has been changed to say something completely different. Which you have acknowledged when you read the Echo report. I never said you tweeted. I said you took the doctored data from the tweet from Richard Tice who you say you never heard of. Which had just been tweeted before you shared it. Oh, maybe it was a coincidence? Oh yeah. Twatcher, you eventually admitted that the story I pointed you to, in the Liverpool Echo shows that the data was from 2 different cohorts. Not from the same cohort which is what the data you shared shows. You have been caught out. I am not replying anymore to this thread. You tried to manipulate this board by sharing dodgy UKIP doctored data straight from a tweet from Richard Tice. Too sad for words.

ErrHum, it dropped to 54 from this morning's high. Richard Tice from UKIP put out a tweet in which he had actually changed data in a report to make it look like the Liverpool trials were showing bum results. They weren't. Results are showing high numbers of asymptomatic cases are being found and the city council are very pleased. Tice's shared report implied data from PCRs was catching more people from the same cohort. The actual report shows two different cohorts. One was people who weren't showing symptoms the other was showing people who had symptoms. It was tweeted and then shared here without acknowledging the source.
Looks like we have got UKIP in the mix if it weren't complex enough. We should bounce back. Put a question into BBC questions on cv19 maybe? See my post on the subject.

You are now descending into personal attacks. That's misogynist. I pointed out I have an MBA because Starbright called me 'ignorant ' for recognising what the FT had reported. You can be a gay man and misogynist. Not mutually exclusive. Disappointing though.

Starbright, Twatcher et al are deramping for their own reasons. They want a drop to top up or to get back in. I'm unashamedly positive about my investment decision. They are undermining me today, tomorrow it will be MB, the day after Safy and so on. It's irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that we protect our investment. That means not falling for blatant manipulation.
But we can also be proactive.
We need to get some public awareness about the link between antibody tests and/or antigen tests and the vaccines. And to get the purpose and value of mass testing on the agenda substantially.
I have asked 2 questions.
1. The CEO of Pfizer said on Friday that you need a blood test to establish whether you have antibodies to show that the vaccine has worked. Can they use an antibody test to show this?
2. Given the forthcoming review of the lockdown will mass testing help to target support for people who have the virus and reduce the need for continuing severe restrictions?
Other investors may want to send in a couple of questions too?
If we keep sharing them we can make sure we get a variety of questions in on these themes and increase the chances of getting some in.
