Indeed. I agree also that not all customers from pubs that have disappeared will all pile into their local Marstons, although, that would be nice, but some might. As for accommodation, I'm not too sure what the ratios on that are either without looking it up on their latest rns, but it is a source of revenue which is helpful in supporting the business, but some good valid points from yourself. Granted its difficult for pubs, Like most people I could name around 15 - 20 pubs in my area alone that no longer exist, that are now small blocks of flats, or mini supermarkets, the list goes on. But that's not particularly a bad thing, the customers that frequent the pubs that have gone will now be drinking elsewhere. Mars for example are diversifying by offering food & accomodation, and also sell to supermarkets. Granted too that made are nowhere near the scale of Whitbread, but this is also reflected in the sp. Have to admit to only being knee deep into Mars at the moment, but I do like this Company (and it's products of course) I will be topping up a bit while so is low. Mad not to.

Well we have our upcoming holiday coming up soon. First time on Jet2 so is a bit of a new adventure for us. It'll be interesting to see how they measure up against TC. Thompson's getting too greedy imv. Oddly we have a 4* with J2 and was £900 cheaper than a 3* with Thompson's so well happy.

I can't see it dropping much more. It's not like they have issued a poor set of results. Just seems to be a knee jerk reaction to Greene King.

Pre M have not buffet style try how at weekends, on my last visit to the one in Stourbridge, but on the Monday it was cooked to order. Not many customers there for brekkie on the Monday so that makes sense. Can't comment on how marston s inns do it because having stayed overnight in one as yet, but suspect they would do the same, for cost effective purposes. As I say I have eaten a few times at a marston s pub and always had good food & service.

I found Premier inn are ok for the breakfasts, I like the idea of being a bit of a greedy so and so, I just wish that there were more Marston Inns around the haunts I go to do I could show more brand loyalty. I have friends in Stourbridge area and visit Newcastle & Southport areas but there are no inns nearby. Shame really. Hate giving money to the competition. Hopefully more Marston Inns in those areas some time soon & I'll be a happy bunny.

Indeed. I have some money in a savings account that I can't touch until November which is a shame because if love to top up now while so is low. Still, such as life. I'll still too up but with my luck Mars will be £1.50 by then, nicer problems to have huh.

Not really. I just like this company so I picked this name because of that. I already have a privilege card and I've used it a couple of times. We were in The Glassworks in Stourbridge recently with friends, got a nice discount on our grub with it. Lovely pub too ☺

I'm new to the board but not to Mars. Looking forward to sharing views with you all.

I don't see too much to worry about at the moment. I just wish I had some spare funds to top up.
