You're right, its a tough one to call. I guess a simple solution might be if you are considering a top up, is to put half the money in now before the results and half after, then it were to tank a bit, you'd get yourself a better average price. Just a thought, of course.

You're not the only one that struggles with that dilemma, Oldbadger. Difficult decisions indeed. I have the same dilemma myself. I also hold SGC which is also dropping a bit, I'm starting to contemplate offloading my Lloyd's shares and split it between these two. Hard choices indeed. Appleby, again you too could be right. If this goes sub �1 I think I would struggle to curb my enthusiasm.

Same again at early doors this morning, more bought than sold but still dropping. Very strange. Tempted to add some more.

To be fair, th e drop in so to this level couldn't have come at a better time for me. As I've said previously, I do quite like this company, and had some savings nature late last month so was able to buy in at a ridiculously low price. I've always liked the level of good friendly service on East Midlands Trains, when I used to use them to get to work, so for me this was the biggest influence in my buying in. And they operate all the bus services in my area. A great company to invest in for me, but of course, this is just my opinion,

The good thing for me with mine is that they are all paying a divvi, which I reinvest so I'm getting additional extra shares at no extra cost to me. Certainly beats the **** interest I would have got from a savings account.

Interesting mix. I only have the 3. Marstons & those other 2. Mars & Stagecoach mostly because I like them more than anything else, but Lloyds there's not much emotional attachment there, I have them (10k shares) just for growth to pay off my small mortgage with them. I recon when they get to approx �2.50 ish that'll just about do it. Looking forward to walking into my local Halifax and explaining how I've done it :-)
