@ Fairdealer. I never thought I'd say it either, but we've just seem to have flat lined here, haven't we?

I know that all of the ball locks with Covid and lockdowns have done most companies over like a kipper, (except food producers & retailers of course). Which is why I've been happy to ride it out.

But we've been out of that for a number of months now, and I was hoping to see some glimmor of increased demand for the pub etc etc etc,but I've not seen much to blow me away. I'm hoping that the Christmas & New year trading figures does something to take a different view. We shall see.

@DarkArches, luckily, like most on this board, I know enough about Supercharger's comments to take both him and his comments with a pinch of salt.

I think you have a point Wolfwatch. I can't see a dividend here for some time myself to be fair. I'm hoping to see some encouraging trading news here at some point in the new year from the Christmas trading fortnight. Personally, I'm starting to struggle to see the dangling carrot of holding here at the moment.

I've just seen an advert on TV of Uber Eats saying they now have Franco Manca on their "books". Good to see them offering a delivery service for our brand.

Good points there too Barchid. Just a wait and see scenario at the moment I think. Hopefully some improvement in the not too distant for us all.

All good points, but I'm wondering how much of this is people curbing their spending for now as well for the run up to Christmas.

As we all know, the run up to Christmas and the new year are busy trading times for the brewing and pub industry. This money has to come from somewhere.

Yes, but loans that companies have will be at agreed rates, so banks can't just up rates to borrowers Willy Nilly unless they've got them on a variable rate. And I just don't see any company taking up a loan for £Millions under those terms. A variable rate mortgage is one thing if you're willing to gamble on rates coming down, but a multi million pound loan for business expansion etc etc is quite another.

Thanks Barchid. It's a lovely little Island is Zakynthos. Not as prestine as a lot of places, but it's the local people that make it. You should try Kalamaki, just once to see what you think of the place.

I'm going to start a rumour on Facebook and Twitter saying there's a beer shortage, and we all need to stick up very quickly. It worked well enough for petrol & diesel.

Hi Barchid. Yes, good to see you too mate. I hope you are well. I'm always hovering in the background mate. I'll always be here contributing. I've re-discovered my inner book worm and have got back into James Patterson's Alex Cross novels. I'd read a good 9 of them about a decade of so ago, and got back into a load that he had done which I'd not known he'd done, so got through another 8 of 16 that he'd done. All good reads.

I'd recommend Pop goes the Weasel, the big had wolf & London Bridges to you if Psycho killers getting caught are your thing. All are good reads.
