Here's the problem that I can see as someone with just a small holding in here.

When you look at the format of GMB, their continuous "Government bashing" is turning viewers off and they are losing market share of viewers, as they are refusing to watch their offering of BS, and switching to other channels (If Twitter comments are to be believed).

That said, I don't really find that too hard to believe, I myself refuse to watch their mind numbing drivel. That's only one programme I know some of you will say, but this is prime time viewing which advertisers pay a premium to advertise their wares & services. It's all well & good saying that revenues are good, as I'm sure they are for now. But are the likes of Unilever, P&G, etc gonna continue paying those premiums if audience levels, or perceived audience levels are seen to be falling? No. They won't.

The channel is Peacing off a large chunk of its audience share, with it's seemingly left wing propaganda, & The Dame is not being seen to be putting a stop to the rot.

She needs to address the channel's shortcomings, or be forced out in my view.

Inaction progress wise. This one is a slow cook one for me so I'm happy to wait it out.

Up until now as I know naff all about the sector beyond the basics. I've had this Co. tipped by Motley fool a couple of weeks ago, and done some limited research into what the score is here. I've also been quietly reading posts on here too, taking note of what looks like reasoned sensible comments.

Anyway, I took a small position in here (10k shares) out of profits made elsewhere, as I can see good merit in the need for Lithium as EV production gets ramped up.

@ Buzzby67. I hope you are right mate. This is a good company that I like, that's why I've stuck with it through these thin times.

Oddly, as you mention the mining share, up until now I've shyed away from them as beyond the general gist of what they do, I know naff all about the sector but something caught my eye half way through last week about gold possibly being a safe haven in these troubled times, and the growth potential of lithium for EV's.

As posted on here, I've had a bit of good fortune with one of my other shares and topsliced my profit there.

Anyway, long story short I've split the proceeds between 3 ddifferent companies SAV, ENW, & GGP to spread my risk a bit.

May fortune favour my bravery (or foolishness).

@KronKnut. I tend to agree. Takeover rumours here have gone on for years & nothing has happened. If nobody has taken advantage of the SP crash from over £1+ then it seems clear to me that nobody is interested enough to put any kind of offer in. I remember these being nearly £2 a share. If a takeover approach was ever gonna happen, it would have happened by now.

That said, I'll be taking a small position here myself this morning. A seemingly financially stable dividend paying penny share, what's not to like.

@ Peakybinder. It looks like you may well get your buy in range.

That said, unusually for me, I've got some spare funds in my ISA, so may well look into a cheeky little buy in here for myself when we see where the sp lands. I do rather fancy this to run alongside my SGC shares should they not reach an agreement to merge together.

I'm wondering if NEX will be considering talks with SVC with an improved offer over the weekend.

I wouldn't be surprised at an offer of around £1.20 from them coming in early next week.

@Peaky. I'm a bit of both myself. I hold SGG mainly because I've got a bit of a soft spot for them to be fair, but have traded the swings more than a couple of times & scored for a few extra shares on top. Others I've just bought to sell at a small profit,others have been binned off at a loss as I'd lost confidence in them.

We all have our own style I guess.

I've got to admit to being tempted to take a small position here. I'm also debating Enwell Energy as a small punt too. Not sure what's holding me off though to be fair.
