This is looking very restless and I think a break upwards is imminent .... and with some many shorts open ... I'm crossing my fingers for a bit of a short squeeze ...

@GoCPI - welcome back as we have missed your many insightful contributions ...

@JO - although not currently invested here (unless I missed something) has regularly called CPI correctly.

@Aim - is short / reduced holding here for the time being but I think he's wrong with that trade for the many reasons listed by @JO.

@Me - I got my fingers burned last week trying to trade this down (with @Aim) and had to eat humble pie and buy everything back the day after the RNS (that wrong footed me).

I think the key thing - as mentioned by JO - is that if AH and his Amazon crew can have so much positive impact pact on CPI in just 10 months .... What will they be able to achieve after 20 or 30 months in charge.

These people are not fools and have significant skin in the game .... Follow the money and stay long (that's my advice) .... And start buying back those shares @Aim as it's probably not too late!

I think the purchase of shares by the CEO of the Public Division the other day sunk the 16.5p target and I think we are in an uptrend heading towards results.

By any measure 17p for a CPI share (with no debt and stakes of money in the bank) - is a bargain.

I got burnt chasing 16.5p earlier this week and I won't get burned again ... even though @Aim is pretty good at calling the trend for CPI ..... or should I say USUALLY pretty good!

Well with British Bulls suggesting we are about to turn Bullish and failing to get anywhere close to the 16.50p target which I was aiming for over the last few days ....

I took my medicine and bought back pretty much everything I sold here for a loss .... so much for me fancying myself as a smart trader .... Ha ....more like a mug punter!

The purchase of shares by the CEO wrong footed me and I think this is set to rise now .... and with a rise I can recoup some of my losses!

I think I'll just buy and hold in the future 😁

@Aim - the wait for 16.5p seems a long way away now having seen the CEO purchase towards the close and the SP rising accordingly.

I would have thought the markets would have been more worried about the missiles into Russia than they have been (so far). That might change overnight ...

It will be interesting to see what British Bulls makes of today's action later although I'm assuming they will either still be short or stay in cash.

If we start into an uptrend tomorrow (after the dust has settled once the market has opened) then I will buy back a few shares here (at a loss) .... mainly because 16p / 17p / 18p is a bargain in the short and medium term.

In summary - I thought I was being clever trading it down to 16.5p but now I'm feeling a tad foolish!

@Aim - I've reduced a little more today too .... but not without risk - but not without risk as it's been pretty static for the last 24 hours when it was looking like it was definitely going to test 16.50p

I'm putting my faith in British Bulls (definitely a foolish thing to do) who signalled a Short and Bearish Harami pattern yesterday ....

But a Short Call from both British Bulls and Aim was too much to ignore!

@Aim - yes things looking weak here and I have sold a few today too .... mainly as a hedge against a further drop ... I agree things not looking good at the moment

@Aim - irrespective of what we close at today - this has got to be a bargain at 17p .... And even more so with a new II grabbing a 5% stake ..... and so close to a trading update too.

These guys are winners not losers and they've joined Capita to make even more money for themselves than they were making at Amazon.

Nothing to fear here at all .... just ignore the noise and trade a few shares to average down when you can....

I didn't try and trade this for a while and that was a mistake (because everyone is trading it) ... but this will come good and probably a lot sooner than either of us would think!

@Trisor - 23p is a pretty respectable average (especially with a large holding as it's not that easy to average down) and I'm convinced you will create a fantastic return on that average.

The Shore Capital downgrade certainly didn't help sentiment here today but this was already being played by a couple of hedge funds (how else can the rapid ascent and then descent from 18.2p be explained).

I am back in the 1.25million holding club and no worries from me here .... Given we were at 19.7p just over a week ago ... nothing to say we won't be back at that level again next week!

The NI situation for 2025 has been in plain site for over 2 weeks now and won't impact the bottom line until April 2025 onwards so we've still got plenty of time to prepare and plan for these changes accordingly.

I agree that we should see further guidance in December update but I don't think any of this warrants the cratering of the SP .... which is why I added more this morning

Well I remain confident that this is a good thing ....

Added a few more at 15.9 ... and will add again if we get to the 14s ... This is almost valued at the amount of cash in the bank now!

It looks like it's being played by the big boy MM who seem to be able to swing the price up or down whenever they feel like it!

This share has always been a bit of a rollercoaster but the ride just been a little scarier (over the last week or so) as a couple of big bitter hedge funds have been shorting it.

At the moment ... This is not for widows or orphans 😁

@Aim - well I pinched a few at a shade under 17p yesterday and a few at a shade under 18p the day before .... which helped to balance the ones I also bought in the late 18s and early 19s since the budget

I don't think it will be long before we are nudging 20p again and the sell off was just a good opportunity to get a few more shares for free

@Aim - is the pope a catholic? I couldn't help buying some more sub 17p this morning .... Only another 15k shares .... but couldn't ignore the drop ...

Anything under 21p here is an absolute gift in the short term ... Let alone in the medium term ...

But I don't want to get back into the 1.5million share club so I'm only doing small top ups now ...

Can't believe this has dropped from about 19.65p when Trump was announced as the new president elect all the way down to sub 17p today. Just had to add more!

@NoFear - thanks for your good wishes ... I'm in this for the longer term (having already been here for over 4 years) ... So even though I'm learning to trade this share (by taking tips for Aim and yourself) ... I'm equally comfortable just accumulating and waiting for the re rating or takeover.

I can't understand how we've gotten this low again with so much cash at bank and so little debt and a world class management team (at long last).

Trading update not too far away now but I'd still like to hear about a couple of contract wins ... Something AH alludes to during the Yellowstone day.

There can't really be any medium term risk of buying CPI shares at 17.xp

@Aim - me too .... I managed to get £12,000 into my SIPP at 17.23p earlier - showed as an unknown trade on LSE - so pretty pleased with that ...

It might fall further but, tbh, we are in bargain territory

@NoFear - I guess you mean that the extra NI payments will mean Capita are still loss making in 2025 / 2026 given the new rates aren't applicable until April 2025?

I think we a continued focus on downsizing and a continued push into higher margin AI business - things won't be as bad here as some predidt.

This is already in serious bargain territory now and any further weakness would be astonishing for any continued period of time.

I appreciate the US markets look toppy but 17.5p here is too cheap based on the cash at bank and the underlying direction of the business.

I don't dispute there are lots of opportunities at the moment but Capita continues to look good from where I'm sat.

@Aim - I assume you are still holding? I've been accumulating all the way down and have bought about 40% back of what I sold in October.

Sat on a paper loss for the time being but still can't help but be optimistic for the future here ....

Who would have thought we'd have gotten another chance of buying in the mid 17s when we sold in the late 21s!

@Savage - more nonsense from you I see! How's your BT investment going today?

Given we got Secretary of State clearance for the sale .....it's pretty clear that any investigation is going into how the acquisition affects the competitiveness of MRI Software ...

I fail to see how Capita could be implicated in any way in this ...
