FWIW I work in this area and city brokers are really struggling - my guess would be favourable terms offered to HARL for a joint broker plus research inbound. Could also be in prep for a capital raise next summer? Or could also be for takeover defence work…

Yes, for me this is quite an easy hold until end of 2024, by which time, if the company meets is strategic plan, we’ll be looking at a market cap 4-5 times current.

Joined the party here with 23461 shares @63.5876 on 16/12. Looking to hold for 18 months at least. Good post brexit / onshoring play and I couldn’t believe how cheap the company was!

Could be that the signatures are on the contracts and will be formally released upon commons statement - the announcement will already be written, so can all be announced very quickly

I would personally prefer an announcement in the new year, so I can get my bonus in the market! Very relaxed - the deal is 99.99% done - now just a case of waiting for the details

I feel genuinely bad for PIs selling up today.

£50m MC is my lowest base case following FSS - I’ve done the calculations as conservatively as possible, revising down net profit margin to 3%. IMO post FSS contract we will trade in 30-40p range until IM announcement in early May (bar any other monster contract wins, which are definitely possible!). HARL surely has to be THE share to own for 2023.

I also like Severfield. Similar opportunities to HARL. My two favourite new geo political plays

Rishi name dropping HARL?!!? Massive implication re future work for HARL. Name me a more exciting AIM company. Surely the PM’s visit is tied in with contract signing. Seems huge. Could be 30 pence plus tomorrow. GLA! Only a matter of time until £50-60m market cap IMO - could happen fast. God bless the government for transforming this company.

I suspect a lot of buyers waiting in the wings. ‘Prepare for a gas crisis next winter, warns IEA’ headline from the Times this evening. Gas storage for this winter is already sorted, so a delay of 3.5 months means nothing, commercially speaking

Nice post Mcadder - I wonder whether the £115m FY23 revenue ‘aspiration’ did include expected FSS related revenue. Perhaps it did but as a winning bidder. Can’t wait to see the contract details, which should arrive within a month. Seeing how 700m to $1b is to be attributed is going to be very exciting! Plus details of the additional £77m investment and the £100m Astra deal! The IM gas storage delay is just an annoyance rather than changing the value to the HARL business. As I said earlier, I think this demonstrates the very strong position we’re in.

The court won’t allow a further delay I don’t think. Only a 3.5 month delay - no big deal. The fact they are delaying just shows how likely a win for HARL is! All eyes on FSS contract by year end / Jan. Then another nice milestone to look forward to a few months later

Newsflash, the forward interest rates have been coming down steadily over the last month and today US CPI beat will accelerate this.

My view is this is just a shake out before a big rerate. Contract and funding should all be wrapped up by year end (2 weeks) and then the basic economics will do the talking, rather than arbitrary numbers from a share price graph. We shall see
