64k is not massive, there are PIs here with more than that. I too will be over that in the next ISA round. Good thing about this frustration in terms of SP performance is that the price suppression means one can regularly add more stock at what I see as good value after putting faith in ones own research. I have three what I call fledgling dividend stocks. They are companies that do not pay a dividend yet but their business plan is to do so in the future. So buying now if the plan comes to fruition will mean a massive yield on today’s investment 5 years hence. They are OPTI, SXX and SAVP. Trek each to their own and I am my own.

Smells like a cash call. Pretty muted reaction today. Either the market had priced in the rig or its waiting now to see what the brokers have been appointed for. Would be pretty good if only the best offer got paid but unfortunately it’s not a multiple agency approach. Perhaps they need the funds (assumption) to strengthen hand for next farm in. I think they may be moving quicker there than expected. The BoD here are top notch and have made good moves so far so for me there’s no concern should they raise and it’s also good to do before a drill, just in case and it’s a nice sales pitch from Cos perspective. Probably Miton starting to balance books. Happened last year. For a long term holder and if you have funds for next years ISA this is quite handy as you get more shares for you £. I know it’s not pretty looking at a paper loss for many but if you are in a position to average in a few tranches this could be a blessing. Sure there are challenges on the macro side with Trump taking on the Europeans now with tariffs, cars first, but then he will probably wrap up a trade deal with China before opening another front. Other than that no direct news to justify a hit to VRS. DYOR. Trek sanguine.

Nope MATD is a traded AIM stock. Lots of key events and herd buying and selling at various trigger points. I expect many that bought in low threes are cashing out or topslicing getting ready for another run at this. Others may just be buying and holding. There are many strategies including those that think posting pump and dump on a BB makes any difference. No right or wrong answers here, pick your own strategy and expect volatility coz there is a lot more of it to come. Trek, bet placed.

Yep lots of opposing and balanced opinions today, and even Mr Market had been ambivalent but one thing it does get is cash and it looks like that’s the uncertainty thats being priced in now. Trek 100% out now. GL to al holders. Another brutal day in the life of a PI, TFF MATD, for now at least! X

The tone of the RNS is awful. No positive slant on anything, no opportunity, manageable set back, it’s almost like expect the worse hope for the best. Then I guess that’s how would feel if I had failed my favourite exam question. Trek, E for effort.

Hi Ivy, thank you for your reply. Whether it was baseline or comparative. Something imo set alarm bells off in FDA about the liver tox. Either before they asked the question or afterwards when MTFB were not able to provide an immediate answer. Having done numerous corporate reviews one thing you always have at your finger tips is data. Re the insti’s, we cannot be sure but whatever they are not happy now. Trek, finger tips burnt.

I reckon the data was comparative to other drugs, not to a new or established baseline. The FDA picked up on those ‘shortcomings’ and asked for clarification. MTFB couldn’t back it up. To provide the detail required needed further tests and more money. Now with insti’s selling more money is gonna cost more and with no guarantee that they can achieve the toxicity targets whatever that may be. The MM only dropped price so much coz insti wanted out. But they may have been selling all along and panicked when they say the news. But whatever they could have held and price would have flattened out but they didn’t. It’s now a mess and no guarantees like we thought we had. Trek, sucks.

Jimmie, good questions. But what if they had already been told to come with this data. Heads in the sand, hoping it won’t come up. I don’t think it was so much out of the blue. I reckon they’d have had a steer and tried to wing it. In any event following the meeting they decided to tie all the sht news together with the realisation that to provide what the FDA wanted all along would cost money. Imo we’ve been deceived. The insti’s selling at 5p believe this is going less than that and so do I. Trek. My view.

Given that liver toxicity was a primary concern and probably an original steer from the FDA , “FURTHER EVALUATE”, wouldn’t have Motif presented it from the rooftops if they had had it? They did all this comparison stuff with other drugs showing that Iclaprim was the tallest dwarf and imo the FDA weren’t interested. They had a baseline in mind. They tried to tell Motif and they stuck their heads in the sand hoping it would be fudged coz to provide what the FDA were asking meant more money and they don’t have it. Hence they have come away with their tails between their legs telling the market they will also now need cash. Insti’s are gonna need a massive discount for this. If you are still in at 10p sell coz peeps will click tomorrow that there is more to this than just a sht pivot table. Trek all imo.

No way are they hoping to gloss over this tox issue now with just a meeting and a frigging pivot table. Even if they (FDA) were slightly over zealous that ain’t gonna happen, Motif are gonna be given a lot of hoops to jump through and even then there are still no guarantees. Yes America needs new anti-bio drugs but also America has been seen to be soft on pharma making ‘huge profits’ from new drugs. This is not gonna play out with a meeting in two weeks time over a cuppa and a fking olive branch. No way. The FDA will set a hard line and Motif will just have to step up to it and I bet you there is a “we told you so” in that meeting that Motif never told us about. This is a surprise to us but not to them, there would have been a hint there somewhere....Trek, from similar experiences in a previous life.

I don’t understand how you get this far and it fails on liver toxicity when that was one of the key benefits. This is like finding oil and when it’s tested it turns out to be water and no one noticed! Ffs what is it with all these supposedly clever people! Trek, back to the loo!
