It's in Lansteads interest at least initially for the sp to be lower as that will mean a smaller monthly payment. I am surprised there were no terms against lanstead hedging the sp as part of the agreement. Sure they will get news out but it could be sold into or shorted. I note mtfb and sar have gone belly up. Says Pam assists with other agreements. Either this was an oversight in which case the Pam should resolve quickly by concession and paperwork after or someone may have sat on this and called gotcha and be using it as leverage against matd knowing the rig costs. I am inclined to think it's more of a **** up by Pam than by matd who would have jumped through all the hoops trusting pams guidance. Question is who cried gotcha at this late stage and what are their motives. I hope it's dotting I's rather than anything Machiavellian. Trekpidation time!

Nothing will happen in Aug or even sept, then there is the brexit decision or non event. Sat on my hands waiting to get back in. Mid sept may see another dip below 5. "29.9% stake buyer turned down" indeed a couple of things of note here. 30% and one has to declare takeover intentions although AIM is a little more vague than main market. Obviously the long term attractions of vrs and that with the patented IP and against the current trade wars re forgery of IP it's not a model you can just copy but you want a piece of it. NR has always aligned himself with shareholders, amongst his other ethics he's the real deal. He will be concerned that cash is looking our way coz there is nothing to stop the mystery guy buying in the open market and whilst that's nice short term it is not what I and others are invested for. I know I have mentioned DCTA before where I also hold. They currently have a US billionaire building a position there and his broker, Merrill lynch, is working a blinder. They have bought over 22% and the sp has hardly moved yet. The message is that there is a massive appetite out there for this tech and the alliances that NR is building is key to the longevity of the company. I must say that I am surprised at the muted response to this RNS but then I guess I really shouldn't be because aim is so fraught that it seldom attributes fair value. GLA hold those shares. Instead of staring into the abyss TM should announce to the market that SAR have served notice that licenses will be recalled unless terms ‘x’ are fulfilled by ‘y’ and in parallel they are actively seeking a buyer for SAR and all its IP and will regularly update shareholders appropriately. The other option is another placing at significant discount which may not even get funded as it’s difficult to see the end game. At least a sale will see the science progress and investors get some money back to fight again. I’m holding on that basis as I cannot see any other option. However, I am naively assuming common sense will prevail as clearly the BoD believe the cheque is in the post. Bouncing Trek!

I bought in earlier at 107.5 and thought that that was a great update. Getting those wells back and using the tech to maximise revenue was awesome. I thought I could read a balance sheet, imo, numbers looked good and great flex on rcf. Wtfdik! But happy to be invested here, I thinks it’s just the market pricing in poo which is always a relatively unknown with e&p but great results. Trek.

Assume a 6.5% divi for 12 years. Assume divi doesn’t increase from this level, which it has for last 9 years and in excess of inflation. Assume zero capital growth over 12 years but you just reinvest your shares on a drip.

£1000 invested now = £1999.15p in 12 years on that basis.

Obviously it’s lots of ‘assumes’ but it illustrates the power of compounding if the right divi paying stocks are held in say a sipp or isa.

I bought heavily (for me) for Mrs Treks pension today in here Barc, Phnx, Av and Lloy. Sure they can all go down but the divi’s I think will be pretty safe across say 3 from 5 at these levels with 50% to add in after October. After all imagine if there is a Brexit deal, and a US trade deal pre election then this could be a missed opportunity and if it’s not I’ll invest the rest and get an even better return.

Of course macro is a risk but 12 years from now they should have come through it. Probably more of a risk from cryptocurrency and the blockchain turning the world on its head who knows and if there’s an Armageddon it won’t matter! Trek. Not advice just Trekonomics!
