Hi, no one has provided a govt funding link. You think it’s fine to say it is but no evidence. Imo that’s not fair. Someone mentioned I lied about the overdraft I posted the extract from the RNS. Why do people think it’s ok to post assertions but not to challenge them and ask for evidence?

Yep that’s my view and mine only so trust in your own research. If it helps I think you will do very well here and if it’s one of your first punts you have done well to pick the c19 bubble. You have to differentiate rampers and derampers from those helping by trying to differentiate fact from fiction, I try to be objective, it’s not popular but I hope I help investors as I have over 20 years of experience in investing in AIM. Mrs Trek and I retired early and now I just do this for fun having made a living from trading.

Seible I said probably which is a reasonable judgement based on the RNS unlike trader who thinks the government will pay for everything without any supportive evidence, at least you say “surprised” which indicates it’s your opinion as opposed to a fact. Anyways my opinion of using 50% of the credit line by now, bearing in mind all this extra activity that was not factored into the last accounts is based on this factual evidenced based research from the RNS from 2nd April, which you have to read past the headlines and into the detail to ascertain!!!......

Notice how the sp bounces off 220 intraday, looks like the gap is safe in the absence of news. It’s just following an ascending channel. But for balance I am wary of a pull back hence not all in. It’s nice though to be in a share that for now follows a ‘predictable’ trading pattern.

I just don’t understand while others haven’t picked up on uranium and this imo being the best play! I guess everyone is into covid stocks and blinkered towards other opportunities.long may it last!

Wilson63, thank you for your response. Whilst AVCT are cashed up at the moment there is a term called revenue lag. It’s where a business has to front end capex (Capitol expenditure) before they become self financing from revenues. That capex number can vary considerably depending on the type of business. To illustrate a gaming company, low capex, all on line so short timespan low capex to an oil and gas exploration company high capex to drill and explore but limited certainty.

Without elaborating you get the pic. Now where AVCT are they have to stay ahead of the capex curve so all finance needs to be done in advance of the next phase. They have good ii support and from what I can see a BoD that are mature and understanding of the metrics of cash v dilution. It is a very important concept. A raise should be accretive or Capitol accumulative at least in the medium term. I have confidence that this BoD understand this and the next raise will be well north of the current sp hence rewarding current shareholders. Hope that helps.

Shareseeker that’s my point they don’t have cash reserves they have a £2m credit line and are probably 50% into it by now. The multi baggers raise, are smart , ahead of the market. ARM, BOO, AAZ that I have done well from and VRS that I took 8 bags out but now sold, they all knew the importance of financial headroom. Just do some research instead of just thinking i’ll Catch him out with this glib statement it’s not a constructive debate. Only one poster has said I think they have enough cash because... that is constructive. Look sleep on it....

imagine you have the most amazing product and a great investor in Lombard but you are on a conference call and the parties are asking you to ramp up production in a key area it’ll cost £1m. You may or may not have sufficient govt finance (this is why piper the link is key!) and it could be two months before monies arrive but they need an answer now (I have been on many such calls). So you preempt this by raising cash in advance. You talk to Lombard and other ii’s and agree a reasonable discount based on a market dated VWAP. If the prospects are good the deal will be done and move on. It’s not a bad thing.

Funny thing is as is human nature I note that islandgirl gets the recs for suggesting they need to raise while Trek with hours of shared research is the bad boy. Pretty much sums up the whole covid 19 situation when I wrote to my MP back in January listing all the things the govt could be doing the including securing supply lines for hand sanitizer and other ppe, over 40 recommendations wasted. But then I did contingency planning (amongst other things) where you get all the blame and none of the money but hey I now have a nice glass of campo in hand enjoy the w/e all!!

Ok that may be the case and I don’t doubt it but show me the money. Absolute bunch of ostriches here, mostly ramping, little meaningful engagement and hardly any business knowledge just peeps relying on picking the next best thing based on trends. Sure some will get lucky but many will look back and recognise their lack of DYOR and just basing investment decisions on piggy backing ramping posters. All imo, but seen it all before.

Just look at the financials, they need cash. Is that so bad? Now is the time to raise just get it done and move on imo.

Hi mega, thank you for your constructive view, however, whilst I do accept that the overdraft facility will help the placing monies was raised for bau, particular existing workstreams and working capital. You can’t raise money from investors for one reason and then decide to do something else with it. That effectively means hanging out to dry bau and being disingenuous with your investors, much worse than the likes of piper posting opinions as fact here. They imo, will raise, just get it done it’s actually not a bad thing just a momentary dip if it’s done well or the market may even mark it up as finance done, tick! I really can’t understand why i’m getting so much angst for suggesting it. But again thanks for your opinion and my post is likewise opinion. ATB.

And add to that a firm financial footing (assuming GM ok) as I have posted before. We have a mature bod that have timed this pretty well, a massive vote of confidence from Lombard as well! Sure we will probably need to raise again at some point in the future but the SP should be way north of here by then. AVCT can now hold their own at any table. For a company like this decisiveness and ability at BoD level gets a slice, even a biscuit! Full credit to the AVCT team, this trading phase will soon move to the next step in the ascending channel! Enjoy!

Silvi, I Agee with most of your view, mine is to possibly buy once finance is sorted. Surprised you don’t pick up on peeps posting unsubstantiated information though, but at least you are clear about your risks. Are potential investors exempt from the debate. See I keep getting confused by posters claims about welcoming a debate. I’m starting to loose sight of the point of a bb, oh it’s not about making constructive assessments of which finance may be one, perhaps we expect the BoD to use their own credit cards until it comes good! However, it’s fine to post purported facts without data or a link. I really am at a loss. I have not knocked the science or potential merely questioned for now how it is going to be paid for is that really so much of an issue?

Look if someone post the govt funding link I will factor in the numbers and post my findings, it may help peeps, even our 50k seller! Finance is one of my skills, palpable sycophantic ramping is not! But hey I’ve offered to help with a constructive view and albeit somewhat contrary to some posters claims they actually can’t cope with a constructive alternative viewpoint. Honestly the number of people that just prefer you wouldn’t wanna be out, buys as sells, tree shake and this is a ten bagger posts never ceases to amuse me. The finance is a fact, potential is potential, that’s why I have spent hours researching and will probably buy when I see the funding in place. If you have been here since 15p all well and good coz the numbers tell me that’s the about right Sp if this goes ****. If I buy now I run the risk, which I see as very likely that they will place and then the path is clear and ironically the sp will probably drop. Is that debate or deramping?

I would really appreciate if someone could point me to that link showing government funding.

Never said it wouldn’t be successful. Some may not be able to read a balance sheet and find the post useful, doesn't one research first then invest.
