FWIW. I have a ‘small holding’ here of 40000 shares. I did have 100000 but sold the difference from 20p down to 17p. Wish I’d sold the lot really. Now waiting patiently to buy more sub 10p .

If sub 10 comes I buy, if not no worries. Profit is in the bank! However, the market usually drifts down to pss off all those on a spike. Sorry!

Do you really want me to list the recent AIM companies that have gone bust, taken the pss, just existed for lifestyles?

Atm looking at the RNS’s we are good for spud. Skin of our teeth but good. Do I ‘think’ we are dealing with a bunch of Samaritans! Absolutely not!

Each to their own opinions and I fully respect that those were your views. I have my moments but the longer I have been in this game the less trusting I have become and realise it’s more about numbers. But all said sometimes even numbers don’t result in a value out!

Hence as a pi wherever possible try and get in at or below the placing levels.

This lot have been on a gravy train for years. My questioning of their expenses, hotel bills, misc, etc, in the past even got a vague response in the 2018 AR. It was noted as improvement opportunities but they didn’t reply directly to emails.

Nope I wouldn’t trust them beyond what I am prepared to loose. All said I ‘think’ lol! There is a bucket load of oil there and if these guys don't get it out. (Granted they have significantly raised their game). Someone will.

Yep imo the sp is only going one way, up, at least towards spud. The last £1.5m CLN may get added into the mix, but imo no problem. I would, unless you really are a high roller, derisk on the way. The additional CLN’s may well kick in during the drill.

Well done for noting the subterfuge! Fact is OMJ is a well respected investor/blogger for good reason. He has a decent following and knows his stuff. Indeed his opinion of BPC has softened but imo a dose of humility rather than hubris would rather add to his standing!

An insidious juxtaposition of views will no doubt gradually unfold once he has established his position!

I’ve been out all day and just reading through the BB. I am surprised, we’ll not actually, that nobody has posted OMJ’s comments from his blog today. No difference to the usual Malcy raves that get spouted. Peeps shy away from critics rather than embracing it and checking ones own research! Tsk! Tsk!

OMJ has been consistently negative on BPC. I actually agreed with him over the last few months and only bought back in when I saw more financial clarity after the £9.5m placing . Ironically I gleaned a lot of confidence from the last Malcy interview! Peeps will know I am generally a sceptical cynic, instinctively distrusting of most AIM directors.

I actually interpret OMJ’s recent missive that he now agrees with me, or is at least warming!
Quote, ‘An interesting one’; that statement is about as close as you will get to ‘I am now changing my mind!’

Well this is oil. The dynamics change all the time! One’s opinions should also move according to the data. The good thing about such blogs is it questions ones research. So you revisit it.

If OMJ did a little more digging into the financials he will know that the drill is now funded.

“BPC does not expect the need for funding from the Notes until toward the later part of the 45 - 60 day drilling program. Further, whether funding from the Notes will be required (all or in part or not at all) will largely be dependent on real-time results encountered while drilling, in particular the extent to which contingencies arise.”

Now there may be an additional exercise of £1.5m warrants, but the date has been pushed back to 15th Dec.

For the £10.25m CLN’s refer to 1st Oct RNS.

‘.. to satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, the Company expects to be able to draw down on this funding prior to drilling of Perseverance #1 and raise an additional £10.25m’

These conditions are met, status precedent 20th Oct RNS and are priced at 2.5p. It’s why Trek piled in at 2.4p!

Be careful what you wish for. The only outright winner here is China and to a lesser extent Russia. Some thing Trump did was absolute strokes of genius others completely idiotic!

Like winding in Chinese currency manipulation, standing up to Putin, the air strikes in Syria under the Russian noses for crossing the chemical red line to telling NATO America is not funding the whole treaty! Then he ‘injects himself with windowlene!’

You now have economic imbalance on the world stage. China who have emerged stronger from covid will fill that void as Biden goes on a Keynesian printing and spending spree. I am not a Trump sycophant, far from it. I am an investor who tries to read it as it is and recessionary noises with a strong China is something to watch out for.

Hi Rich,

If you are doing so many companies I would add a summary table. What you think are key points and score them.

I wanted to invest in Oz small cap gold miners. With the virus I wasn’t interest in RoW bar a couple of exceptions that I already held. So I knocked up a simple excel. Wrote the company tickers down one side then across the top. Mcap, no shares, BoD experience, finance, cash, warrants o/s, grades etc you get the gist. I then scored each out of 5 and then invested weighted accordingly or ditched them.

I find a systematic approach useful. You can also update info as you go and even add your holdings to track. It’s easy then to pivot and run charts etc. Being invested in so many companies it’s hard work to keep tabs.

It can also throw up surprises, I had ONC, DDDD, ORPH, IQAI and ERGO plus a few others when I looked at biotechs. I did similar for covid plays early on. If you sell or add you can include your reasons and later look back.

Mcap atm is £117m. That’s low now. It is at that level because of the uncertainty of the CERP deal and financing. The market is brutal in how it punishes finance uncertainty. 2p for obvious reasons was a major support. But now it will revalue and start to price in the assets that are producing cash and as we get to spud the value of the seismics which alone come to around £100m!

For a bit of nostalgia an except from Fri 13th Aug RNS 2010... from AB RIP...

It will be 10 years 3 months to the day this Friday 13th from then. Those were just the 2D’s it’s been derisked substantially since with CGGVeritas 3D seismics. The best! SP then was 3.76p.

On Nov 13th 2010 it went to 8.2p and in Feb 2011 25p....

For sure there are a lot more shares in issue now but we have more assets and we are financed. However, even allowing for dilution we are still 117m, a +300m spud mcap would be more representative of our valuation. That’s around 9p, we may see double figures as TD approaches.

You see that’s what’s compelling about this drill. The SP is gonna rise without finding anything. Anyone with sense would have topsliced at some point. Personally I will be looking for at least two more free carries here.

The brave can let it ride and reap probably life changing amounts of money if it comes in. I will still have enough riding then. If AVCT comes in I may be tempted to throw caution to the wind but not just yet.
