A glide path with more levels of income tax and closing loopholes for good.

A more business friendly growth budget = more tax revenues and we the taxpayer need to pay our way.

Move the lower band up to get folk in work and have a staircase of increments.

Also set uk a sovereign wealth fund to invest in uk and generate dividend income.

And it’s not Tory or Labour. I have voted for them all. They all lack imagination and pursue self interest.

LIO at around 430 has been a big win for me plus bagging a 22p divi for crimbo!

CAML my sub 160 buys there seem to have hit the bottom. I am hoping for a move back above 200p there.

DEC breaking 1300p resistance, a close above that will be significant imo

Wouldn’t be surprised to see another deal here as well but this time with a completely different reception by the markets given the outlook for LNG and the rising SP.

Anyways I am sticking here now. It’s nice to see a big cushion of blue for my existing holdings and my slicing has enabled me to spread my income risk across a couple other high yield stocks.

Hex - just to add for SOH. It’s often the case that a well needs two lots of HcL. The first flush often has a rapid decline and the second is then ok. Not sure though if they would announce the first on the basis of the jittery market. They may look at it as one treatment.

Never been to clacton. Went to challaborough as a kid in a van. Probably only a couple times as we didn’t have a car so grandparents took us there. Was a real treat!

They can also be MM schemes to encourage liquidity and stop price extremes. Sometimes they use ALGO trades as well.

I know we slay the MM’s but sometimes if they didn’t act you would get silly spreads like 100’s of percent. Especially during low volumes. I hold MDH.PL and am 40% down some days just because of spread albeit I was aware of that before I dipped in.

CAML - went for those under 160. Looks like 160 gonna hold! Phew!

TXP - it’s nudging at long last - 30p was floor. Lots of news ahead. Value will out imo.

ECR - spent some time looking through the RNS’s there as was expecting the placing. Done it in case they don’t get tax sale imo. So they have cash to carry on. I am not convinced it will go through and if so not as favourably as investors hope. I didn’t buy.

PXC - crappy mm trades atm trying to get some volume through. Super risky as well but I will stick for a while.

LIO - I got the bottom! Third time lucky! Now well up and huge +16% yield!

PTAL - my buys under 36p looking good. Will bag divi and Poo holding over 75 bucks.

GEX - more from TW…. I am nothing to do with him and indeed posted my views on GEX before he did both here and on HEX when someone turned up there ramping GEX. I haven’t posted on GEX as I have no intention of winding folk up there.

I did look at them when they were MMM, posted there and having read the prospectus decided against an early position.

I still think GEX will make a go of it but the capital structure is poor hence I said entry at 5-6 p (5p being the floor price of the securities).

Hopefully it comes good there as I hold some MSMN but it looks like another bumpy run!

Makes a lot of sense Dan, so ECR would get a lump with the rest conditional on the complex credit structure being accepted. But they do say it’s a sale, which indicates a one off transaction, but your view makes more sense from the buyers perspective.

I must say I am still watching with intrigue. To me the placing is well timed ahead of the 28th November. The sale of MGA is not a given and no doubt the buyer is taking some serious advice to ensure transfer conditions are met so that the full losses can be utilised under Ozzy tax law.

I am no expert but like I suspect many investors here have done I just ran a series of questions through AI and checked the links. Whilst the transfer is ‘on the face of it’ allowed under Australian tax law it’s the tests that could lead to some restrictions especially for the earlier accruals. Let’s say utilisation of tax credits are ‘open to professional interpretations’ which makes this deal very complex.

You have to be sure before you sign the cheque!

So if this drags on then at least ECR can continue with this very busy schedule for 950k plus a land sale.

I think Nick has placed with that in mind and if the tax deal lands all will be forgotten.
