Agree with you tintin,keep the greens out of government and Sweden can move forward. They have caused massive damage to their society and economy based on policies of slushy sentiment instead of pragmatic realism.

Sorry eric but I have to disagree with you about the greens observing the law. When zealots have a 'cause' they believe they have devine knowledge and can ignore any laws that are against the 'cause'.Everyone else can be ignored while they are on God's mission to save the planet,an approach that provides a moral platform. The mistake is the prime party being stupid enough to allow them anywhere near a ministry responsible for the environment or commercial world.

I have to agree with andy about the Alliance this time. First submission was knocked back by the CAB as I recall ,they were told to go back and think again by the MI. The alliance would be more preferable than any green tinted government.

Got to be one step forward,far better to be talking to the media and visiting Sweden than sitting in London moaning at a wine bar.He could have been feeding a journalist stuff to construct an article to influence opinion about the obfuscation that has happened ? Or having a quiet chat with LKAB about future JV, understandable that this wouldn't be announced due to price sensitivity in the market.
Another benefit is the ability to assess the future make up of any new government has to be more effective after talking to people on the ground rather than rely on an English media assessment of what is going on in Swedish politics at present. No decision is likely to be made on a controversial mining application when the make up of any new coalition is so finely balanced that even support from a handful of greenie nutjobs can swing the choice of a new PM. Just makes me wonder why the Swedish Democrats haven't been invited to form a coalition as the third biggest party ? The centre party gets 9% of the votes while they got 17% of the votes. Doesn't sound very democratic to me !

Cant disagree with much at all Eric but my only disappointment is the lack of a media blitz by the company. We have conceded control to a mix of Sami and greenies over the years while we should have been briefing the media about their deviation from the laws and disgraceful treatment by the authorities concerned.

Cant recall anyone saying they are having fun with this share llbj ?? We are generally puzzled why anyone in their right mind would have no shares in a company but continually post negatively about the share instead of getting a life but there you go. The facts are all there,swedish obfuscation,greenie obstruction,company submissions,etc. The difference is between individual interpretation of all that and a varied approach to investing.It doesnt need constant abuse to support a viewpoint,just make your own mind up and act accordingly.

To my initial understanding BEM was an exploration company that implied finding and proving then selling on at a premium. Kurt mentioned early in his term that BEM would be able to mine and market the product,a comment that could also be seen as a ploy to ensure best price at a later date ? Perhaps his visits to Sweden are not with politicians but LKAB,who knows ?

Very true john,I do hope Kurt makes sure this diversification is plastered all over the swedish media this week. It would serve to allay any fears the Sami are forcing BEM to run out of funding as well as reminding their politicians to look after miners that adhere to the law.

Well said llbj,we may not always agree but SD would happily settle for a managed immigration system ,rather like UKIP to my mind. The fringes will always have daft extremes but the leftish media use rhetorical labels that many accept without question.There should be no reason for them not to be part of a coalition given voter support.

google ,my comment about xenophobic didnt refer to the government as a whole,merely one or two influential people in the process that have been more than happy to use green issues to obstruct this process. Much easier on the conscience to claim a high moral platform to wield personal power. The big seller could easily be an executor of a will;the grim reaper will have worked faster than the swedish government ! Some time ago I suggested Kurt should have cultivated swedish journalists to promote our concerns ,been a bit slow there.

Inclined to think it is just xenophobia Bob, ironic from one of those countries that prides itself on being open. Not everyone of course but this farce smacks of just one or two well placed racists within the swedish government process. Either parliament , the MI or local council,enough to frustrate approvals using a morality justification instead of admitting to themselves.

To be fair,sweet Angela bears a heavy responibility for this mess across Europe suzy. Her ideological push for more integration to a federal superstate and dilution of national identities was too fast and just a modest concession to recognise Cameron's position would have helped.

Pethaps that is how the electorate see reality and hence Merkel's opposition behaviour ?

Must be for the centre right to work with the Swedish Democrats. It may not be a dream team given the statements made beforehand but it is the only way forward that can work,at least for a while.

Seems to be settling about 15% more over there with volume so,hopefully this meeting may be meaningful in the political arena while they jostle for support to form a coalition.

Aye eric but breca was pretty much right on the progress although we didnt want to hear it. I always thought it showed an unpleasantly sophisticated form of greenie disruption how they also used share ownership and forum boards to undermine a company from within to force bankruptcy or problems in funding for BEM. Hypocritical how he decried progress in Jokkmock but was happy to live in Florida and fly the world emitting pollution that suited his/her agenda. Kurt has behaved throughout in a far more exemplary manner than these protesters have ever done. He deserves to win the debate.

A pleasant change to see this if it is true,long before time and despite all our doubts from past experience the Swedish government have to start addressing what happens next some time. Sod's law will decree that it rises just after our seller has left the room,it has a habit of happening like that in life.
