RE: next update23 Apr 2022 12:07
On reflection, I think I can be bothered.
I have the utmost faith in Stuart, he has taken our first product and got it on sale generating revenues within 12 months from a standing start with a business that was set up solely as a b2b, he has now added a b2c element to the company which will also bear much fruit when we launch other products, acne etc. So let’s recap, formulated, study completed, data published, soft launch concluded, full launch, influencer program, (apologies if I missed any stages) he did all this whilst also dealing with Croda, oral, and acne, plus any other discussions/negotiations in other pillars, and you think he should be sacked!
It wasn’t beer and curry, it was just drinks, I had a lime and soda.
Very poor taste but I will debunk your theory, Stuart is not on a mid six figure salary, that figure includes options (which are linked to performance), pension etc. I would also like to say Stuart took a pay cut to join the company.
Ok, now I have blown smoke up his arse, let’s look at what he got wrong:
He agreed to a forecast issued by Cenkos that both the board and the nomad thought was achievable and he has missed it, for now. It’s a when not an if. Is this a sackable offence, I think not, personally if he asked for a raise I would give it him.
Advice, better to keep quiet and let people think you are stupid than open your mouth and prove them right.
Have a nice weekend.
