Regardless of not being the same person (check on my FB page), I pretty much agree with Thorn’s analysis and current view except I am not buying in until the offer is announced or possibly some other event. That is really the only point on which we differ.

Yes it is. I only posted on here in order to provide genuine experience of a clinical trial screening and why signing people up for trials is not necessarily straightforward and quick.

Yeah. I know Avacta won’t take as long of course. Before you all pile in.

Oh well here we are 6 weeks on and after screening for the trial I’ve been told I am not ill enough to take part.

But it has given me an interesting insight into the screening process for a P3 clinical trial.

Let’s hope the compensation for my involvement thus far arrives in my bank account in time to be invested in Avacta 🤣🤣😄

I do need to reduce my exposure to Avacta in my overall investment portfolio. My current average is 115.

But I will probably halve that when I buy in the imminent offer.

Selling at 114 is hardly the multibagger that some delusional rampers on here have been predicting. And breaking even (or perhaps doubling my investment) is hardly a good return on 3 years is it.

As I have said, I’ve done far better investing money elsewhere over that period.

I have explained why I am risk averse rather than greedy.

Anyway. If it was certain that news was announced before the raise which pushed the SP up then yes your right. But it isn’t certain, so we may still be facing a raise at 20p or less if the last raise’s discount is anything to go by. So that is why I’m not buying now.

VS dilution is the least of Avacta’s problems at the moment. If Avacta is the multi bagger that some think it will be then it makes little difference to the final outcome as far as Avacta are concerned whether the raise cash at 20p or £1. As long as the price is attractive enough for them to get enough buyers to get the money they need. It’s not like selling oranges. Issuing more shares for the raise means nothing at this stage. In that I agree with IceCool. Obviously it’s better if the starting point for the discount is as high an SP as possible. That’s what we all want.

A great outcome would be for Avacta to announce P1b progress that pushes SP higher before they announce offer details. That way even with a discount the offer price could be similar to today’s closing SP. Or Royalty/Zeus have enough info to buy in at current SP.

Who knows. But it does little to affect Avacta as long as they raise as much money as they need. I doubt they’ll get that from current PIs who can have little spare cash after continually “topping up” over the last two years

I agree. I just hope that us shareholders get the chance to buy at a cracking discount to current SP.

Unlike the happy clappers on here, I also continually analyse the outlook on all my investments. And yes if the situation changes then that affects the risk/reward balance. And if that is so I buy or sell accordingly. It’s not rocket science. It’s sensible investing.

Everyone on this BB recognises that with irrevocable excellent results from P1b then the SP will rise and probably never be this low again. At that time you lot will happily be telling everyone how the FUDsters and shorters got burned and you were right all along. But you haven’t been right. Anyone who bought over the last two years has wasted a lot of money that they could invest now to buy a lot more shares. Buying now cobe a good move but I am gambling that the offer price will be even lower when it comes. Just my view.

. . . but doesn’t that also apply to AVA6000 use to treat STS? So why wait until now?
