Yes I agree with most of that. But it’s the pattern of communication that is similar = infrequent news flow which contain hints of good progress if you dissect them a certain way and set expectations for a timeline that overruns. I was a programme manager in hi-tech engineering for over 30 years and despite what some say “no news is never good news”.

So there you are that is why I am nervous.

And for the record, I am not a trader although I did topslice a couple of times in 2021. I have held shares since May 2020 and continued to increase my holding every few months since. My last purchase was July this year.

And for those itching to find fault or take exception to this post (you know who you are), relax, have a day off, think beautiful thoughts.

I am positive that you either don’t read all of the words in my post or you are illiterate. My view on AVA6000 is balanced. I want it to succeed both for my own financial position but particularly for all the cancer patients it will help.

I’m only nervous on one count and that is the path that Affidx took. Al has form.

Given what has been published about AVA6000 trial to date, which model do you think they are following?
Does the dose escalation pattern indicate how well the drug is performing in any way, safety and/or efficacy?

These may be naive questions but this isn’t my field.

You’ve obviously got it in for Wyn, though sometimes they deserve it. We all do from time to time.

But this time Wyn’s was a a good post with some decent advice. Credit where credit’s due.

Can’t be bothered to look back through to see what the dosage levels were in mice. But suppose just suppose for some reason the process doesn’t work on a sliding scale but it’s a step change. Then there is a possibility that the dose hasn’t gone above that step yet and it has only released a very small amount or no dox. Therefore needs another dose escalation to get past that hurdle.

Just giving you a 4th thing to worry about.

Personally IMO, I just think no one least of all Al wants to be rushed into getting such an unbelievably efficacious treatment onto the market and then find out they missed something along the way.

They will tell us when it 100% works. We won’t have to carefully dissect every phrase.

Guys. I think JTs post was great. It’s all the analysing and regurgitating afterwards that I don’t get.

But yes it’s a public board and I’m obviously in the minority. I will keep reading the board because there is good info now and again including JT’s summary at the beginning of this thread.

Lot of work here but I don’t understand why you’ve posted it other than to comfort those of a nervous disposition.
We’ll find out whether it works or not officially when they are good and ready. All this analysis of every word that was said and what it hopefully means is of no consequence. And besides we do all this with Affidx and look what happened with that certain best test in the world.
Let’s just wait (and hope) and see what comes to pass and by all means highlight new information, but all this regurgitating previous info and analysing it to death does my head in.

I really do understand what you are saying. And in a way the debate is irrelevant until Phase1a data is available. In answer to your last question, I would say that I would go with the treatment that gave me the best chance of (painless hopefully) survival. And I would have thought that all of us invested in Avacta, think that Avacta is the one.

I haven’t said “bypass the system “. I’ve said when excellent results are reported at end of Phase1a, surely, given the nature of this PRODRUG, there is a case to fast track it into use.
If I’ve got 6 months to live and this offered hope, I’d want it. And if the treatment went wrong and I died it wouldn’t matter if it was the tumour that got me or some yet undiscovered side effect of Dox. Oh hold on hasn’t Dox been in use already for some years? And isn’t Phase1 supposed to be all about proving it is safe?

All I am saying is that when excellent results are announced at the end of Phase1a, then surely in this particular case given all we know about the nature of how it works. There should be a case to look at fast tracking it to start saving the lives of terminal patients.

And it’s nothing like the thalidomide debacle.

So have you got the data for it’s efficacy in rats etc. and is it performing well in latter stages of phase 1a clinical trials in humans. And is it a prodrug based on a working chemo with 20 years of use?

I guess not. So just keep your sarky comments to yourself.

I’m with Riesgo on this.
We all seem to think it’s probably safe and we think it works and it’s a delivery mechanism for a well understood chemo drug. So I think there would be plenty of people out there who have been given 6 months to live who would jump at the chance to be dosed with AVA6000 because otherwise they’ll be dead before it becomes available. So yes I would like to see it fast tracked for use in terminal cases. Doesn’t mean that further conventional clinical trials are stopped. But think of the lives that could be saved. If it was me I’d sign whatever waiver was necessary to get some right now.
