Given the favourable safety data from the three-weekly dosing study, a fortnightly dosing study, which is now screening patients with high FAP levels in the United States, will assist in optimising the schedule and dose for a potentially pivotal Phase 2 study in 2024.”

So is Phase 2 going to start in 2024? No it isn’t. So timescales have slipped again.

How can it be June 15 by any calendar.

Anyway they obviously meant mid financial year so the start of September is my guess for end arm 2. Ice believes it’s all on track so be interesting to know when they think end of arm 2 is. Icecool???

A reminder as to why the industry do not see AVA6000 as a slam dunk regardless of the mechanism and hence the SP. There is nothing to compare it to. We need arm 2 results asap

Thanks again. So what you are saying is that FAP expression is based on tumour growth rather than tumour size. Does that mean that tumour shrinkage is down to body’s natural metabolism (ie cells die naturally and get replaced, although in this case dox stops that replacement)?

Also I take your point that treatment with AVA6000 will have left patients in a far better condition to withstand more “traditional “ treatments for the final push.

I think that is probably what Bein was trying to tell me but doesn’t have the vocabulary to express himself so has to resort to abuse🤣

Is it possible that once the tumour is growing very slowly that AVA6000 could continue to be administered on an ongoing basis in a less invasive way? Perhaps by a pill or self administered injection???

I’m not questioning that pure dox can eradicate a tumour. That wasn’t my query.

My question was about reduced amounts of FAP and therefore possibly reduced cleaved dox as tumour shrinks towards zero

You seem to be saying that it is a possibility that the final steps of cancer treatment may indeed be more “traditional “. This isn’t a concern because patients will be far healthier to stand this and of course the tumours will be far smaller by then.

How small does a tumour have to get before it’s too small to be targeted by AVA6000. Does it shrink to a point when its associated FAP production is too slow to cleave enough doxorubicin to counter tumour growth?

Will patients have to be treated by straight doxorubicin, radiotherapy, surgery or a combination of all three to completely eradicate the final tumour.

Award winners aren’t always commercial successes. I’d rather Avacta be the latter. As you say, the platform mechanism is proven. But the rest is in the balance. Roll on the Summer and end of arm 2 and we should find out.

When I first started investing it was because I believed there were companies out there that would provide me with a decent dividend. In fact that was the whole point. Companies raised capital on the stock markets that they then used to generate income. I chose companies based on the market appeal of their products and recent sales and profit figures and the quality of the management. My broker only took written instructions and holdings were for the long term

Today most investors (gamblers) seem to be in it as a get rich quick exercise . Also technology allows instant trades supporting a huge population of day traders who work on sentiment not company fundamentals.

Consequently the market is very volatile. Shares can rise meteorically on expectations and hype only to fall when sobering news is released. It is like a ponsi scheme where as long as there is someone who believes the shares will continue to rise then you can sell and make a profit. There is scant regard that the company may not pay a dividend for years. We are all ok as long as there are enough people buying when we want to sell.

So when it hit 280p is irrelevant? I don’t think so. I have shares in companies that are £4 now and 20p 12 years ago. It is only really relevant to look at share movement from end of rat trials onwards
