The penny has finally dropped. The only way they can save global stock markets is to revalue host currencies against gold. FIAT essentially devalues against gold and this allows the stock prices to sail along with an almighty crash. Finally the gold miners should at last be invited to the investment party. Bring your own shares!

If it holds here at the close a double bottom posted in the chart. Hoping for another rally to follow on.

One way for all the stock markets to avoid falling in value is for currencies to be devalued against gold. So we will wait and see if the central banks decide to go along with it and save the markets and avoid a real recession.

Prof correction the AISC is higher for 2022. (Although very much in line with the real inflation rate with a USD falling in value). We just have to wait for the gold price to reflect that AISC change along with the costs in all of the sectors and services listed on the stock markets.

Currently at the bottom of a rising channel with the top end at 95p or so. Bloomberg this morning had a banker pleading with the FED out there not to raise rates to fight inflation. The FED is going to find itself between a rock and hard place. Putting up interest rates is not going to suddenly reduce energy costs in winter with pipelines having problems in the supply chain. A staginflation problem is already hitting bank customers as well.

Again Sotolo an unfair example as the AISC increasing is being spent on increasing reserves and resources and replacing diesel with solar energy and so forth. Its a bit like you earned less but were better trained with new skills and you took more time out to improve own mental and physical health and the boss is able to up pay next year.

The price collapsed when all the past events arose. The fact is that the company earns more revenue in 2022 on same gold price metrics and half the AISC increases are profits that do not go to EMRA. When adjusted the share price should be 113p with a likely 2p increase on the price today. The 113p is based on a gold price hitting $1870 or so at some point during the year and having updated and favourable resource and reserves updates. Centamin is a buy and hold with 22% upside imop.

As a result of the break in compression, I have looked at the weekly chart. The weekly chart goes back to the huge July breakout move. We have a massive ascending triangle. It concludes this month with support lines and resistance crossing over. The tweet we got this week gave them a little more time.

The average down moves I made were clearly a mistake, although they were small buys in any case. This is all to do with geopolitical tension. I thought it was going to be all resolved last week. I have to ask myself how is a conflict over Ukraine in anybody's interest.

Older yes I know. The Centamin point was that it matched with Polymetal all through last year. The South Africa point was separate and reminded me of how some companies that were mining in South Africa got shares dumped in the July 2020 riots although nothing happened at their facilities and how Polymetal has got the same treatment.

Dibs you are correct in that the Russian Government does buy quite a bit of the production at market rates. If Polymetal was compared to Centamin as they were tracking each other in 2020 a change occurred from 1 January. The amount taken off on Russia political concerns works out as 190p off the Polymetal share price. There is a limit of how much the down rating can go as it makes out that Polymetal is less stable than a South African precious metal miner in the height of power cuts and civil unrests and industrial action. Polymetal itself is a high quality company and it operates on western business ethics.

The chart compression pattern has changed from before, however the climax on the compression is still on or around the 19th or 20th of January. Of course the compression pattern may release on its own accord and work on a new pattern and try and disrupt the outlook. I suspect the data was processed on P3 in the first week of January. During the second week internal expertise will have analysed and reviewed their data. I suspect they are having meetings in the early part of this week to agree views. They would also agree on all the responses they want to give on the data so that it has a clear and precise delivery. They may also need to give an outline on what follows the trial and work out delivery of peer review timetable and also working with MHRA who they are probably discussing timings on submission dates for their approvals and so forth. As everything comes together and the CEO and presentation team rehearse the delivery we will then get the RNS. We could well be in the final week of waiting for the results and all of this coming together. Tony

The Angola wealth fund on behalf of the Angola Government owns 21% of all Pensana shares and they were acquired in the 45-50p range. The Angola Government has royalties and tax income to be generated from the mine after two years in full production. Angola has been able to pay off any debt it has to China and the higher oil price makes it easier to do so. Angola has been establishing links with the Commonwealth and hoping to have closer links with UK and other Commonwealth countries as it diversifies its economy from just oil.

The real issues with Pensana are finding $500M in Finance to develop the mine and the Saltend UK plant that converts REO into NdO. The company has to apply for UK Environmental approval for the Saltend facility and we are awaiting confirmation that an application has been made. A similar application has to be made for the Angola mine development to the Angola Government. We are also awaiting an update on resources and reserves for the mine. We are awaiting publication of a FEED report which the entire costing for the mine development plus the Saltend production site. I hope this helps with your research decisions.

Are you kidding us. Nobody would accept your 7000 to 7500 order for Polymetal shares. All you have do on HL is put in order at say 1170p for the amount you want and leave it in the order book for Monday. If your asking for a lower price than the ask it is likely that your order supports the stock price as shorters will hover above the price you want to buy at and keep your order out. Its a FTSE 100 company and the market maker should not have a liquidity issue. So put your order just above the buy/ ask range and it should go through.

I feel some people are playing that paranoia card here with what Barrick may do or not do. EMRA, the Egyptian Government, Barrick staff and Centamin are not stupid. The value failure on Centamin was inherited and Kees warned everybody here of the problem way before it became known. I listened to him and sold and may have missed the peak in price, but have always gained on my Centamin investment and avoided the huge drop from 203p to 119p on this share at least. I think the company is on the right track. Centamin is an opportunity to create value and the present team are working on it and if they succeed it looks great on their CV to leave Centamin and go and run Barrick (Eric Bristow will retire in a few years or at least go and run a consultancy). Kees according to Mr Tibbles is more positive on Centamin. That is good enough for me. Centamin at least are giving a vision and a story. Without those the motivation to invest is zero. We have something we can choose to believe in or not. The believers buy shares and those who don't go short.

Currently trading when gold was at $1720 per ounce. 15% discounted since October 2020. PE rate now at 7.2.

I added at 11.90.4. They are giving away polymetal shares. The company had a bumper 4th quarter. There is a limit of how much paper gold they can sell and its near exhaustion. They are desperately trying to hold up the SP500. If they want more paper gold to play with, it has to be at a higher gold price in USD. Its the only way they can stop a crash in the USA markets. Gold has to call the shots as so many governments around the globe base their valuations on reserves upon it. This is so not like 2013.

Hopefully it now goes up.

When Russian currency appreciates Polymetal usually goes down and at present the currency is depreciating against USD yet its not going up.

Every time short interest rises on Ortex the Pensana price goes down and when it declines on Ortex the Pensana price shoots up.
