I think the BOD are mulling over further expansion, now is the time for me to go in deeper. I still feel SantanderUK is on the cards. With that sort of cash in the treasury they could make great inroads into local and world markets.

Sorry, and not forget they will get a good exchange rate premium.

Hello Lewis. I do not think that Brexit has any bearing on it otherwise Santander would not go outside of EU. At the end of the day all banks are out to make money. If you remember they were on the brink of floating UK 2 years ago but the tide turned and they said they would wait a couple of years. Well from the returns coming in the time is now right. They get the sale price for further expansion worldwide and Spain and almost guaranteed income from other half of UK

I still think that Santander are going to make a move towards floating 49% of SantanderUK soon. It makes sense and leaves them with capacity for further purchases when the opportunities arise. In my opinion they are well placed to expand generally, returning them to the path of a much higher SP.

Cricky courtier.. Its not Sunday. However you are right, Santander is performing very well and as the purchase was well supported there is little to stop SP rising sharply. Without getting too carried away I can see 600+ in the near future.

I think the Funds are seeing Santander as a must have as all is positive at present.

Tracker.. The momentum is there but what is causing it. However as long as it keeps rising so fast who am I to question. May be there is a very big buy not yet listed.

Tracker.. Looked again but still came to conclusion Santander is on a roll. Its SP rise from 330 to 530 in a few months bodes well for next 6 months whether it part floats SantanderUK or not.

I may be getting carried away but looking at all the paperwork and with this new purchase and possible floating of SantanderUK I feel that if the big investors see the light we will shortly be heading 600+.

Just looking over Santander performance of last six months and its very impressive. Last year there were complaints about Ana going to invest houses for shoring up and ignoring small investors yet the whole thing has been turned around and is steaming ahead. Now possibly is the time for Santander UK to be floated while it is on a high.

With the SP holding its own and very good results for group does anybody think the time is ripe for Santander to launch its part float of UK. It put it off because of poor banking results for all banks worldwide and in 2015 it said it would consider it in a couple of years.

Do not get too excited. Ana does not normally do things for the small man but may be this time she may have listened.

The one to keep your eye on is CC. Many firms are into IoT but the overarching problem is building penetration. Many IoT's will not need this penetration but it is no use having say a 90% success rate and then be let down. Has to be 100% or nothing especially where moving objects (cars) are concerned passing solid concrete buildings. I am from the CC site so I would say that. Regards

Some holders may consider substantially reducing as it appears that the UK government is about to look at labour related matters and UK employees rightly could get much better terms. I do not think that sick pay will be bendable as some companies do. Such as paying a bonus provided that you never go sick. Only an opinion.

I have bought a lot more as I see Santander as long term riser and hope my broker gets all the paperwork done in time.. At the moment it may not be being run to top efficiency but it has a good name in UK all the way back to Abbey. I know many who have a mortgage with them.

Hello tracker.. I think that you are reading this wrong. Santander saw this a good purchase expanding their Empire. When you have these sort of sums involved you are not going to do it on reserves alone. I would not be surprised that in the next 10 days, before 'rights' expires the SP rises dramatically. The long termers, funds etcetera, will see this as a quick buying opportunity. As with most banks of this size the shares will ultimately rise. Do not forget that the last issue which got complaints about investors being left out was solely to the Market.

Santander seem to be past their low point. I am looking towards 600p in next few months, poss weeks. By end of 2017 I think they will back leading the pack especially if they take action on part selling UK.
