Looking at my chart CC should be bouncing back to 12+ > 15p. before Nov 5th meeting.
I think this is doable with the new contracts, SMETS2 start and lower in house costs.
Does not give it long but there been no adverse situations in last week.

Has anybody got any feed back from this workshop. We know that Mysore has done well with its Indian Government showcase and that RF will be part of the new requirement of Indian Government. We also know that where possible 'made in India' takes priority. Putting this together with Anil saying he gets on well with Indian Government I think it will be all systems go. One minor problem could be can CC get enough meters produced by Indian companies of the right quality. He seems to sort most problems out.

Just may be I am reading too much into this gathering in India. If positive we may get an update this afternoon or tomorrow, bearing in mind advanced time zone.
Whoever gets what I think that smart is under pressure from India Government to complete so orders will be flying around during next 3 months.

Hello LTI.. Good question regarding manufacturer, CC has production contracts in China although JC does not say much about them.

Hello Colour.. Good reasons for that, firstly I think that you will agree it was only hearsay, secondly it defeated the objective of Indian Government of going totally smart, a lot more than just meter reading.
This is basically politics, along comes EESL saying we can do the lot for peanuts, with not even contractors lined up, The politicians thinking all that for that and all in one go countrywide, we will have some of that.
Then the penny dropped, it is not going to take us forward to compete against China, it is not going to do anything for outages or solar feedback, we had better change course. Only my opinion.

Hello Vas.. I am just wondering if CC is involved with EESL at this point. Colour said they are putting in basic meters to speed up installations and that was logical. However there seems to be more expected from these meters, plus costs are $70 per unit which I think is higher than was allowed. If these are going to be totally smart allowing for outages, solar etc. then they must be above a basic unit.

Morning Chem. Both interesting and both by their own people. LoRa sounds technical within industries and probably expensive. CC says it can cope with LoRa and other platforms, can LoRa do likewise. CC wants to be involved with IoT but is primarily providing a lost cost connection to existing old metering systems and new small connections.
It's roll out in Mysore will be highlighted more and more because it works and can be rolled out faster and faster.
Other Utilities will be keen to hear from CESCOM what cash advantages there are with CC systems. That is what it is about at present and for the Minister to confirm a City wide rollout shows the Governments interest.
The other thing to consider for future contracts is that CC were the lead contractors (on behalf of ENZEN) and are therefore trusted and of course a higher value contract.

Just come in.. This is a thought and only a thought. If RF is going to be a requirement and if Utilities and States are under pressure time wise and if good RF is not that available then CC White Label could be in high demand as a stop gap. An off the shelf software package which is pluggable and Multi Platformed and of course cheap should possibly fill all their needs.
If I were JC I would offer it out for a couple of years and from then on convert new contracts back to CC. After all he wants CC to be known like ARM and Intel eventually.

Vas, also thanks for both of those. Interesting last comment regarding IoT, I think CC Omni may be the only IoT and that is recent, therefore only coming into the equation as an afterthought.
With T Nagar being densely populated it would probably mean much could be RF and also remote areas connected over distances by low frequencies with feeding back to a reliable known GPRS point.
CC stands a fair chance.

Hello Colour, so you think that nothing will happen on 30th Oct. You could be right but I think now that CC has established itself with the major meter manufacturers of India and seen to be efficient there will be a lot of interest shown. These Utilities want to get the show on the road at low cost and early returns so I think more will come out of it in next few months than you say.
As I said the crunch will be approval on Nov 5th and information on contracts starting this year.
Not too much to ask and don't forget the bonuses.

Simple Colour, it is necessary for funding to go through now it has been proposed. As Funds are involved that has probably all been sorted. CC may get the odd bit of stick from them but they are all in it together so unlike you will not rubbish them.
Again I say you should have been at the meeting and not keep commenting from afar.
If you want the real SP (Pun) go and find out for yourself. You know it makes sense, you know it does.
