If we had started to get good returns from SMETS2 October time perhaps SP would have held.
As we were not burning cash at the speed of the drop then which shareholder idiots do you think caused it. It was not buying/selling because as I pointed out there was a 5,000,000 share purchase that did not change the books or even get a mention from the mouthy ones amongst us. All is not as it seems over last 6 months but the up has arrived.

I am sure the long term optimists see the new area's that CC is moving towards. We still have an R&D department and making good use of them. I think CC still has a long way to go in all areas of metering now including hot water. Small though the country is Connode is home grown and could well stand out, as well as abroad for efficiency.
CC has many doors to open and many good partners.
The expression 'what more could you want' comes to mind but with background wailings of cash,cash.

As said this is just another small order which is adding to CC's reputation and order book, with a good chance of us being a very long customer of HM Power wherever they obtain contracts. Especially the fact that this involves a variation to gas/electric.
I would now like to see SMETS2's RF numbers, once it gets above 100,000 connections it will get noticed and be the biggest yet.

LTI, just popped in and caught your question.. The people I have spoken to over the past few days seem to have woken up to the fact that SMETS2 is now heavily underway. The Utilities or their contractors are very active.It remains to be seen at this point what CC can produce. Anything above a running 10% would be ideal but may be optimistic.

Funny how system works.. those near 6.00 must surely be buys as opposed to the 5.80's.

Morning LTI.. I should imagine that extrapolation will be well exceeded providing that the main meters, made to the spec, are being produced in the necessary quantities. My contacts recon they are going in fast. Also its the beginning of summer, lighter hours, overtime etc.

Hello Imperial.. Thanks for that. It will interesting to see CC numbers at the London meeting. Logically we should by that time have reached 100,000. at 10% but they may not be calculated that simplistically. From 31st March all applying customers had to be dealt with in a timely fashion i.e. not when it suits Utility, so mid year might be more realistic for numbers.

Morning LTI.. Until we actually have figures we are pgrade blind. However Genus has secured these contracts although they are not running smoothly at present. Villages are mainly dumb meters for expediency but Genus anticipates will be upgrade in 5 years with Smart, CC is embedded in a lot of Genus meters, may be all of them, so possibly CC will feature in next. If the India Government has a change of heart may even fit retro.
I think it is recognised that India is a long haul but Anil with Cancopy etc is making inroads.
Money is important but I see numbers as a priority. Certain amongst us are constantly highlighting another pilot, only 21000 etc etc. is all part of the necessity of dealing with India.
My eye is now on UK and BI. Over a couple of years we could possibly install up to 5,000,000 SMETS2 with CC RF.
BI I think will take off supplying China, India and you name it. We must make a profit but it is now the numbers game and will attract a lot of interest.

Don't talk rubbish, you have no interest in other shareholders fortunes, you must be talking this share down for a purpose, go along to a meeting and express yourself, don't be shy, if CC takes off at this point you will not be saying sorry for misleading them. The SP is low but is now about to turn around with the rising income of 2019.

SMETS2 is now well under way, CC has the contract for RF, Trilliant does not feature in it. They are only sorting out their messed up SMETS1 and that was because of Government time stipulations, if so many had not been installed they before SMETS2 was completed they would probably have just turfed them out. SMETS2 is cheaper, it is only a matter of how quickly CC gets into the action 10% of 1,000,000 is 100,000 so keep watch.

Hello jake.. It's the same old story, I'd like to be there but. How many times have others said that they are miles away in sunny spots. Not thinking about their 'notspots' and leaving others to pitch their irate questions. To my you are all at home and, moaning about CC, not prepared to attend from mid Wales etc. If you have something to challenge JC then be there. Not buying a railway ticket yet wanting others to do your bidding. I ask what I want not somebody else's prodding.

Yes I pondered this, elsewhere I would be looking at Fundamentals, however in this case I made an exception in that I looked at all of liabilities, weighed it up against commitment and asset costs, looked at needs to hold stock which currently is almost Nil, possibly now two buildings on rent and R&D (staff).
If it had for instance been a car factory they needed to build or similar the books would not have held up, and previously Cyan was holding stock, albeit small, but now for instance BI is paying for the pleasure of producing the goods for CC, which I have no doubt that BI and CC will make great gains out of, should CC become an industry standard then the Universe (LOL) is the limit. Bottom line is that unless the product is rubbish, which it has proven not to be, then the sort of maintenance is software based which would not be costly. The only downside in UK would be, in my opinion is, if the 'notspots' were not as high as forecast, but Government departments have made these calculations.

Morning jake.. Quite right, SMETS1 will be linked up to DCC during year. However SMETS1 when installed did not do what was required and SMETS2 was created without Trilliant. I understand SMETS2 is cheaper to produce I wonder why that is. The bottom line is SMETS1 has ceased so that market will not expand.
It is all about keeping the £11bn. costs down.
You appear to know more about Trilliant than you are saying. CC have professed to having this ground breaking Omni that is sought after and has excellent buildings penetration. Has Trilliant got similar, or dare I say it leased some licences from CC under White Label.

Morning just catching up. jake and I discussed Trilliant over time.
My take is that like us they are not manufacturers. They were engaged for SMETS1 which failed in interoperability and may be building penetration, I heard some installations were abandoned for lack of signal and they pushed on with the good ones. Telefonica, Toshiba and Connode were tasked to set about developing SMETS2 which had a couple of snags but got underway late last year at half the price of SMETS1.
SMETS1 stopped being recognised early 2019 and on 31st March DCC brought in the requirement that jobs were to be dealt with as they came in, not pushed aside. That was a sign of confidence in SMETS2 because that were not enforcing that before and took Utilities by surprise. That means that from April (now) CC will go in at the same % rate as SIMS.
So Q1 may be a bit average but Q2 should spring to life.
As I understand situation Trilliants job is now to make good with software for discontinued SMETS1, put into DCC.
Unless anybody knows differently regarding SMETS1.
I am expecting CC to start building this Q and then be away.

Morning Vas.. That would have been ideal for CC if it was expandable in land mass but the only way is Ireland and they are probably already covered. As CC is now mainly into software and possibly Control Gear then infrastructure unless it can be expanded is not going to be that profitable however it would have looked good on home territory.
