Hello Bamby.. AZ. All my life up to 70, I never took any tablets just the odd Aspirin occasionally.
My personal opinion was there should never have been a lockout but following China it seemed a good idea at the time.
As with TB they should have nominated one hospital in each area as an Isolation to hold any hospitalised Cov patients, leaving other hospitals and society to function normally. Think of the 1000's of others who have died from Cancer etc.
Governments are 5 year people playing to the crowd. China could have lockdowns because of their control.
As we are now down to single figures, probably less than any other ailment, Government should consider taking us back to normal by mid may. Scientists and politicians keep their jobs going.
On BB I will be pleased if our current production continues, ****stan coming to the aid of India means things are serious for the region.

The problem is that for the next couple of years people are going to be cautious and I think there will be a requirement to show proof of vaccination to travel, major events etc..

Incidentally as I have said before I am 77. First injection Jan very slight ill feeling that night nothing further. Second about 2weeks ago no problems at all. So everybody is different but with cases falling so dramatically surely it can't just be lockdown.

Hi you 2, without getting too carried away off BB, I understood it was not a virus at all, which is normally live and weaker like Cow Pox but in fact a slight alteration (not live) to the DNA which means it can cover several strains.

I think we had better leave it at that lads, at end of day India will need to get its Smart up and running as soon as possible to compete with China. Without labouring it, Indore proved valuable in that there were immediate savings and the Utility wanted more, plus JVVNL etc etc. Further contracts are running slow but they must be there, its just unfortunate that India has been hit so hard by Cov.
Other nations are now chipping in with vaccines so should get on top of it.

It will be interesting to hear what progress BI has made with CC RF in China. I understand Xingiang suffered a major outage recently, BI supplies meters to that area but have they used us yet, I suspect not so now would be the time to push CC RF, we all know that market is absolutely massive.

jake, read the Feb Trilliant. Looks like they have had to go the same route as Cyan did with Connode and buy Primestone so obviously needed a bit more Software refinement. The thing with India is you have to get accepted. If CC gets 20% 0f India Smart then a very good result.

Hello jake.. Again it is a matter of wait and see; all looking for next RNS.
With UK it is probably fingers crossed until fix. I think UK Government got another Software company in to do the fix, Cyanconnode did not come on the scene until SMETS2 so was not their headache.
We banter about CC but if they get at least all of the customer base of the existing Utility contracts (say 20m + Thailand)
we should do ok. Just a matter of sitting it out one last time.

jake, I think the bottom line here solely relating to India is it takes a long time to get acknowledge and the Government appears to want to push on and require 3 or more applicants for contracts and CC RF can be used in any of the main (and others) meter manufacturers meters. Took CC a long time to get to that position and acceptance so I suspect JC should get his 20% of the total 250m units. Only my opinion.

Hello jake, you are right, that is old news. Can you get any more up to date. I seem to remember that Trilliant only did HES in that 1m unit roll out.
Do we know if they are in any Smart meters in India. We do know that CC RF is in several contracts at this moment. So why is this, could they be lower priced, more reliable, quick to install, immediate returns for Utility and a course a small AGNOSTIC company that has been praised for its Indore showcase by various states and Indian Government.
Colour with Secure are they AGNOSTIC, the in word, probably not, so one company and I seem to remember GoI does not like only one company. After all this time I suspect India wants action now not another lot of dithering.

News takes a long time to emerge from India but will come I am sure.
Following up on AGNOSTIC element may be one of you could tell me if there are other companies capable of supply only of last-mile RF on its own to be used by opponents. There is now a need in India to make vast numbers of Smart Meters in a short space of time. A bit like ARM and Intel supplying a key element.
Straight forward question but no answers.

Hello Colour, no thoughts on my 10:58 then. Just may be the penny has dropped that AGNOSTIC is the name of the game if you want to pump out millions of meters from all different manufacturers.
Any existing self contained meter manufacturers are not going to want to share their knowledge and the GoI wants at least 3 suppliers if I remember rightly. So you go to somebody who can supply and quickly. Fairly simple.
