jake, existing means just that, not project tender but active. So CC is invited aboard an existing project that has already been priced, presented and won, recently there was one for 2.3m units if I remember correctly. So why would they be involved at that stage if bid already constructed. The key thing here is that to have reached the lift off stage means a year of bids etc bypassed.

If you look at the Cyan Share News (on left) the interesting bit is existing and new projects. That tells me there is an immediate need for Omni, not a years time. They must have hit a snag, so CC could be called into action at short notice.

Hello phuckerty.. I have been viewing all this while at Lakeside, shopping. What a laugh, Colour trading hard ??. He bailed out about 2 years back, if he came back in, and he said in a very small way, then he has made nothing but losses.
jake must be in a similar position yet he has made a killing. Don't know about pies but there are certainly a few pigs flying.
Early days there was general losses for all jake.
Main averaging for me was at about 2p level but you had to have nerve. So I do not believe any of it.
Right, it was explained a little while ago how tendering system worked and our position in it so delay was built in.
Now things are pulling together so if we do not become millionaires I certainly see 100p.

Things are definitely moving forward. Hardman's valuation was based on existing contracts. This could be the opening of pipeline contracts. I think there was quite a bit said about EESL when it started, seem to remember it was going to be the focal point of India meter rollout. Is it just getting underway, there is a lot of market to be had out of 250m units.
One good follow up, very likely, on this and Hardman's 38p could be well exceeded.
Only thoughts DYOR but best I have seen CC situation.

But Colour we must dig a bit deeper before you go off to your 'none job'.
So CC wasted its time on the report you think. That's a high value 38p to place after all the analysis, do I take it you are skilled in that area to make such a comment.
It would be interesting to know who has won contracts in India in last 9 months and who has commenced installation.
We know that CC contracts are progressing, what about any others if you say there are so little installations happening.
Don't forget small company small turnover needed, big company needs massive contracts.

Lets have your comments on Hardman's 38p evaluation on current contracts.
Again your thoughts on the deliveries Chart for India.
CC is a small company which you knew when first entering it and then bailing out after loosing a few bob.
If CC got 20% of Indian market, only our comms as we do not make meters, and the likes of the 3 major meter companies who do not seem to have this last mile facility want our comms to the extent of embedding it then CC should meet that 20% target, job done. An equation for dreamers, 250m X 20% = 50m meters X £20m per 1m meters = £1bn.

Interesting to learn that GENUS has the capacity to turn out 10 million meters per year and exporting to Middle East, Africa and APAC regions. Bodes well for CC.

Trouble is Colour you are just banging your head against a brick wall.
You just cannot see CC making any ground although you have seen their delivery chart for India.
One minute you are saying other companies are successfully competing then you say nobody is, make up your mind.

Actually Colour what you are not getting is that the world ceased to turn for the last 12 months. India needs to push on with modernisation and will do so as soon as Cov declines.
You cannot evaluate CC's performance in getting new contracts over last year. Yet despite all of India's problem CC is still churning out the modules and getting paid.
Hardman was very positive in its 38p valuation.
If you hold shares it is in your interest to want 38p achieved.

Colour, getting newer in your updates.
However times are moving even faster than you. Remember the reference to OPEX and Utilities not needing cash up front, means to me that as soon as they can they will get Smart moving again without cost and making money from the outse. Utilities who are loosing money hand over fist at present will go for it. Look at Indore probably arranging more Feeder areas as we speak ready for Post Pandemic.

You cling to too many negatives Colour.
As LTI says work is getting underway under very difficult conditions. If CC had gone bust you would have said 'I knew it, I knew it, how clever I am'. In fact they have done well to keep going, credit note was well negotiated but I think also that was partly the Manufacturers self interest, the result was being able to supply modules to the Meter Manufacturers and getting paid upon delivery. I am convinced they are storing them following PM Modi's instructions but the fact remains CC supply chain continues, unless you know otherwise.

No jake but I seem to remember him saying hardware etc was low, say 25% and moving to software would would greatly improve mark up. I think may be about the time of Iran which did not progress.

jake, wasn't the mark up 82% for software.
Colour, as you said they have other things to worry about, so are these cancellations temporary.
Also does the NSGM cover all India installations or just the ones in their jurisdiction.
i.e not the private sector.

jake, what I am saying is do not look back, if unhappy bail out.
This is new ground in a lot of cases, CC has been recognised in India, has attained several contracts, the product is proved and right price so it is down to the salesman.
All profits are forecasts when predicting but Hardman thought the 38p was conservative and justified.
There seems to be a world opinion that energy needs to be brought up to date.
My bet is on CC getting a reasonable chunk representative of its size. Watch this space.

jake, in the case of BI I was expecting an earlier update. The figures you have displayed really relates to pre-BI/CC.
Don't forget BI were having to rebuild the factory to accommodate CC so I think BI were going to use it in next round of installations. Smart in various forms has been around for some years and I would suspect updates would be envisaged soon..
Actuarial does not really apply in this case as it is entrepreneurial not historical like life insurance.
I still think CC is about to take-off but would like more updates.
