To me that says ready to move forward.
I think there is enough being talked about to move us in the direction of Hardmans previous valuation of 38p.

We don't know why Anil went, he is ambitious so anybody's guess. Cov has set everything back but looks like India's general trading is improving.
The MOU with Intellismart is probably our entry point to pipeline agreements. Don't hear adverse comments from you about Trilliant or EDF who do not seem to trading any better in India.
CC have several current contracts, Indore etc and Thailand so just be satisfied which will all most likely have further orders this year.
You are addicted to CC's downfall but we are currently at 9.50p so can't all be bad.

I seem to remember in the last year or so GoI wanting to upgrade all to Smart, possibly hence Intellismart. Somebody will tell me if I am wrong.
Anyway we will soon see CC's prospects.

Trouble is Colour it confirms you are not interested in anything that does not rubbish CC.
Simple fact is that after all these years CC is now making headway, something not in your book.
JC has always aimed CC towards a pipeline and Intellismart could well provide the access.
So we have known contracts and now unknown future contracts, all looking good.
Humble pie, blackcurrant would be nice.

I thought that you were being serious with your observations.
I don't know the value of GOA but perhaps they got poorer after being absorbed into India.
Was it not you who created the Village/Lightbulb situation and then GoI said they wanted Smart.
If CESL electrify a village with Solar they are not going to give it away and if they set up a Solar in a field the household meters will still be sending readings back to billing centres.

Hello Colour.. You are correct there. The only reasoning that I can see around this is, like Notspots, there is going to be a very small percentage that has not been done and the GoI has got carried away. Again may be some States have not reported correctly. I wonder if CC will be involved, some residences do not seem to be constructed that well so if Solar Farms are going in then metering will be required.
Out of the thousands of Indian villages I don't doubt there are a few like that.

This MOU with EESL is the best so far. We are entrenched with the private Utilities in India and now capable of opening up with all of EESL's areas. My opinion is that Hardman after discussions was very conservative. If 71m asset could reflect 38p then the additional inferred 3m units from EESL could take us into the 70p range. All speculation but feels good.
SEW partnership could suit CC very well with their global connections and may be useful in their own business.
Feel a lot more confident than a couple of years back and Iran could even open up.
Enough said, for the rest DYOR but bear in mind CC is still a PI company with lots of small buyers.

You can advise me to this Colour, is part of the process in India not reliant on MOU's. Are they not part of the onwards procedures. Did CC have an MOU with Genus as well as letter of credit.
From the statements put out by Hardman etc this appears to be a step in direction of getting contracts, possibly pipeline.

That is a very good point Colour. There is a little bit of guess work here.
Having said that apart from meeting other GoI standards we know that there is a large element of Notspots in most areas, so guesswork but equally a need. Contractors can be changed at last minute and CC has impressed GoI in Indore.
So may be CC will be required to step in. We will find out on this shortly I should imagine.

As LTI would say interesting times.
So we have all the existing contracts which if Indore is anything to go by will escalate to whole Utility.
Every chance with acceptance of STICKY that all current contracts will expand to their full customer base.
So we have Hardmans valuation of £71m (38p) plus if achieved the 3m out of 10m unit from Intellismart's current contracts (approx £45m) so possibly another 24p.
Not bad for a years work, DYOR, only my workings but who knows.

This was only way we were going to get into the EESL pipeline.

jake, existing means just that, not project tender but active. So CC is invited aboard an existing project that has already been priced, presented and won, recently there was one for 2.3m units if I remember correctly. So why would they be involved at that stage if bid already constructed. The key thing here is that to have reached the lift off stage means a year of bids etc bypassed.

I think it is safe to interpret this statement in such a manner.
' Under the memorandum of understanding, CyanConnode and Intellismart would work on existing EESL and Intellismart projects, as well as new ones, in both India and international markets'.
Fairly straight forward to me, which bit are you having problems with.
