It will be interesting to see the outcome of the UK Gov trade deal. £18m/30 UK jobs for CC. I wonder if that is an expansion of existing works or an R&D into some other area on behalf of the Government.
The fact that the Government released this information I would say is solid intent.
Should get some serious follow up news on this from CC.

Your EDF are talking about nuclear power stations for India so I don't think they will ultimately be bothered with meters.
If CC still get 20% of India I think we are on a good earner. Didn't JC refer to 62m about the time of our Inroads into Iran which Trump abruptly stopped.
Different States are experiencing varying Cov19 infections rates so I suspect any that can push on with Smart will do so.
May/June's deliveries will give an important insight.
Hopefully Thailand is underway.

That will be interesting jake. Whilst Smets2 does not involve CC until late comms stage it could be another delay. Perhaps JC's team can solve this, you never know, thinking of the £18m/30 jobs mentioned by the UK Government for CC.
I think Smets2 is here to stay as I read sometime back that it is half the price.

Well jake you may think no comparison but to me the main difference is political. Not that India would want it but if the top dictated not individual states then perhaps more would get done.
Colour, although not intended that was a good repeat especially for new viewers.
Over these many years India has been wanting the very latest at best possible price, I think it is now obvious that they have to make a stand and get on with it. You have laid the fault at CC's door many times but we can see it is a slow India, CC's fault may be they hung in at a cost. However we have gotten to the stage where for a small company we are in a good position to steam ahead, after Cov19. It is recognised that Energy is a Worldwide problem so India has got to dealt with it promptly (if that is possible).
I feel that in the next round of India announcements CC's will stand a very good chance.
Time will tell.

Unfortunately Ted you cannot recognise that you made a mistake and I said that India death rate at present is only a fraction of UK's when you look at total population. I am sure it was you who used to boast when you bought all those millions (old money) of Cyan shares.
Hello jake, I agree that money will have to be redirected away from possibly Smart or Space Rockets for a while but it will not stop them moving forward. China has very poor and very rich areas but we do not talk about them as not progressing. It is all a matter of organisation. UK now has a much more positive outlook in less than 6 months.

Regarding numbers, I was pointing out that it was a very small percentage numbers wise in India.
Calculation: 127,000 of 70m (UK) if equated to India 1.4bn population would have equated to 2.5m in UK.
Proving I think that hopefully India will get through this peak as they at present are far short of our ratio.

I had already said that in ratio population wise UK would have had 2m+ deaths.
All numbers are staggering but in reality should be stated as a percentage of population.
However you cant ignore the conditions these countries are suffering under, after all India is not poor.
This is where improvements in next few years will be needed.

Hello jake, yes I saw it on the main news. There is a vast difference in living standards throughout India, some well off and some very poor; being controlled from State level does not help. I think Modi will have to invest much more at grass roots.
As bad as the situation is it will pass, mainly with the availability of vaccine, could not see distancing working.
Because of the way most burials (cremations) take place I don't see there ever being enough fire wood.
You are right Smart is way down list and may be for a year but modernisation will get there.

As the plagues of yesteryear often wiped out half of Europe's population I hope they get to all the villages with vaccines, they seem to be suffering from several strains.

Things will change, seem to remember not long ago this BB saying the villagers only wanted an electric light bulb. That did not last long, IoT will be everywhere. These people are not backwards just held back. Much of India is poor but it will not last, they will want more. They cannot put rocket launching in front of livelihoods much longer, so Modi will do a Boris and dig into the coffers, works wonders for votes.

Hello jake, whilst the situation is very serious in India and help is arriving from around the world once they can get a 50% vaccine rate they will hopefully win. Trouble is with 1.5bn people that will take awhile.
In UK we had a serious situation come Christmas but only a few months down the line and we are nearly out of it.
Our population is around 70m, imagine that X 20, would have made our death rate 2,000,000 plus.
After all this I am sure India and Asia will want to push on to protect peoples livelihoods.

Morning all..
Had a chance to read Hardman Report end to end. Although we know a lot of the basics it was impressive to have it laid out in an organised manner. Prudent to produce a valuation of 38p on current known contracts and say conservative. That sets the first target price which I feel is doable soon.
If all our current contracts are sticky then I should think it not unreasonable to multiply 38p by 4 upon updates.
The Indian Government has already alerted manufacturers to prepare for rapid expansion so I should imagine meters are being stockpiled somewhere along the supply chain.
It will be interesting to see these £18m/30 CC jobs (UK) contracts that our Government refers to.

The good thing about the existing contracts in India is that they are possibly 500,000 units into say 4m units roughly in each Utility and so as long as we please them as with Indore then we will more than likely obtain further contracts up to X 8 that for their total coverage. Thailand contract will also more than likely expand dramatically.
We are bound to get more contracts with new Utilities so the 38p must be obtainable plus any new contracts.
Be interesting to see what contracts exist for the £18m UK deal.

Well ITT, at my age I don't have to worry about pension plans, having drawn mine for 20+ years.
If CC gets taken over I think it will only be a company like Trilliant not a meter co.
If CC's stays independent beyond £1 I think it will then bound forward having been well established in India. I would like to see it get access to the other part of Thailand for a great expansion. The final optimum would be China but not heard much on that.

Hi ITT, been watching Ceres myself, its taking a bashing. There is a lot of Automatic trades going on. You have to be very cleaver to make anything at present. Again this product is a new idea that has its follows but the doubters are mainly considering its viability commercially. Seen that all before but at present I think the MM's are toying. The price changes are very big.

Keep buying them ITT, every little helps.
It was interesting Hardman placing a price of 38p on them.
If CC can keep all the Utilities it has already achieved in India and gets all of their customer base which seems to be the accepted thing (sticky), once in with no problems, that could eventually take us to £1. alone. If we progressed to achieved 20% of the 250m units in India that could take us way beyond £1. Again that's working on JC's previous figure of 1m units = £20m. That's based on existing contracts, JVVNL etc but all contracts are different.
Definitely a DYOR but looks pretty healthy.

Hello ITT, even I have softly done that occasionally.
Bearing in mind that 514,000 is only a fraction of the totals of the contracts possible with our existng Utilities and Indore etc quickly placed further orders (don't forget Thailand). If the new approach is for pipeline size orders then these numbers could quickly run to 10m units. I don't know if Hardman calculates follow on orders as new orders but either way if CC get any more States on board there could be very big returns.
May be repeating myself but I seem to remember CC has 3 production facilities for modules and allowing for 3 shift working pattern they could up numbers X 9, in which case well positioned for explosion of market.
