The councils decision to refuse Angus is again completely against NPPF.
No planning law has changed just because the sentiment of the press has flipped.
Exploration for minerals is allowed in a national park.

Covid has not gone away.. I have a friend who’s mum is fighting for survival.

The meeting was a farce , two were going to vote before the beaten had finished.
We need councillors to turn their heating off for two weeks in March to prove their solidarity with net zero.. and then vote again
Planning policy doesn’t matter when you are woke councillors.

What I dint understand is I was doing this remote meeting stuff for 15 years...
But it really dissent work for these formal meetings where everyone can cry foul

We could also correct the spin of the world rather than adding 1/4 of a second each year. We could slow down the earths spin by facing all the the redundant jets east, chain them down and put them on 72.4% thrust for 18 min 12 seconds ??

We did this in dec 31st in 2000, at midnight we all fired rockets off and as a result we moved nearer the sun.

Yes Norway have so far invested the money wisely. However there is a blindness about eco vanity projects where people fail to look at the cost per unit. So I might be paying 2-3p per kw of heat ( gas)
And 14 p per kw of electric. I might be happy/able to pay 10% more for cleaner energy.
That dos not mean I can afford 16p for my heating,
Also anyone on oil heating knows the anxiety of an empty tank and a two week wait for a delivery
But if the wind drops off there is no storage tank!

Norway is a strange country. Before the oil they made money from fishing and ship industry.
They also shipped out minerals mined in Sweden
People were relatively poor
The oil made Norway rich but the young people who can’t remember being poor want to go electric and turn off their oil industry.

I don’t know that the electricity industry can replace that income and the luxury life they have become used to.

I’m looking at a March 16th committee date.

Surrey refused a wind farm because it could be seen on Gatwick radar....
They refuse large scale solar panels because they can be seen. I can’t find any significant solar installations over 2MW

I fail to see why this was even entertained as an appeal.
You can out count downstream emissions as you don’t know how the oil will be used.

It may be used as paint or to make plastics including insulation and turbine blades.
It may be used in a power station with carbon capture

It might go into one of the cleanest euro6 lorries with add blue scrubbing the emmisiins, or an ancient diesel merc being used by the horse Hill protestor at the camp.

Also the emissions are counted twice, once in production and again on use..
