From R4 yesterday in Parliament (listen to R4 Today) massive logistics exercise to provide PPE to frontline volunteers. Care officials now need to put themselves first. Fearful of own lives.

Reading about Spain's 30% test accuracy and CDC first test problems. This is very bad for the populations impacted. This will put back fight against CV19
Hence, accuracy not speed is the key.
WHO need to take the decision to use the best methods (PCR or antibody) and get Govts around the world to agree global licencing.
Everyone seems to be designing tests from scratch. What about countries with no expertise. Spain's 30% accuracy reminds me of typical procurement based on cost grounds. Leadership on the global stage is required here.
Our message should be NCYT with 100% assay are here to help the global effort ....
