QuickDraw eere Roche not one of the first Companies to hoghlight the shortage of chemicals for the reagents? I recall reading a post on this BB about this ...need to check it was Roche..
The comment made at the time was that PrimerDesign use different reagents.
UK must have a massive chemical industry.
With the Govt involovement I would hope this industry is now being galvanised to drive the UK forward from where we are to where we need to be wrt chemicals.
It was also reported that precision plastics eere also may also lead to manufacturing restrictions. Same argument should apply. Govt needs to involve all Companies to support its requirement of 100k tests/day.
With assistance from AZN and GSK hopefully this is achievable. It also might mean that previous limitating factors for manufacturing for other orders (Middle East, India,... (all 193 countries on the globe) can also be addressed.
Every country is at a diffeent stage in the pendamic cycle. As test, test, test is the WHO recommended direction of travel then demand for NCYT (WHO approved product) is just massive.
Qiagen was taken over by TF for $11.1B in Early March. I do not see Qiagen/TF in the WHO document. I do not see anyone other than NCYT declaring 100% homology (checked on a daily basis) afainst mutation. Now I see we are one of the fastest PCR tests in the world!
Has this been priced into the SP??? Absolutely NOT.
I would conclude it might if perhaps our market cap was in the £Billions ...
Time will tell.
NCYT have the right product at the right time and demand will now be every country on the globe.Whats not to like? Why would I want to sell??????
