PL75, you probably need a layered response to testing. When the lft is available, demand will be phenomenal. So other test methods are always required. These may take longer than "minutes" but still useful to have in the test armoury.
Avacta self test will come to the front. Capacity and availability will be the limitation.

Express reporting on Matt Hancucks statement yesterday when he promoted a new £500million funding package to support trials of a 20-minute coronavirus test.

Professor Jason Leitch, the Scottish government’s national clinical director, has claimed the new 20 minute test (LAMP, Optigene) is unlikely to be successful as “the logistics and science are behind”.
"This particular pilot and prototype - it’s going to be Salford and I think Southampton, Southampton have been involved in some early trials of mass city testing - I don’t think this test will be the one."
“But, in a slightly fictional world, thinking forward, if you had a non-invasive, fast, home test, then you can imagine what that might be able to do."
Looks like yesterdays statement was a stop gap in preparation for our test. When clinical validation is announced Awactas test will move to the front. As we all knew it would!

Guardian reporting n rapid testing today (4/9/20).
"Having a rapid test is useless if positive cases can’t or won’t isolate because support and enforcement is absent or if contacts can’t be identified because the tracing system is overwhelmed. As such, while a rapid test is a useful thing to have, it needs to be supported by a whole system of policies and strategies around contact tracing, case and contact isolation, support for those self-isolating, and evaluation of the system itself to ensure better functioning as the pandemic continues.”

What was interesting is todays RNS referenced "Avacta, in partnership with Cytiva, ..".
This was in line with the Rockefeller Report listing which also referenced Avacta, Cytiva.
This bodes well for the US market!

Lets assume price is 0.7p and target is 7p this year.
x10. Market Cap at 0.7p assuned to be £250M
Market cap would be £250M x 10 = £2.5B.
If we invested £2k at 0.7p, it would be worth
£2k x10=£20k if the share price got to 7p.
How many contracts are required to have a market cap of £2.5B?

£2.5B x8 = £20B market cap.
This could be attainable, but I do not think this year!

Lets get to 1.5p first, then with RNS info available, estimate what the future market cap and share price could be.

Would also add that no Project Managed task I have been involved with comes close to Ophidian's timeline. Bear in mind the Companies involved and Govt it all adds to additional complexity.

Interesting that someone was adking yesterday for more info on manufacturing partners. Looks like the RTC partners are the direction of travel. It would be ironic if ODX was next on the Avacta supplier selection list, given all the apalling messages here over the past few days.
