The connection with the Florey Institute would bring a lot of technical expertise to the party here. Educational connection also applies a lot of technical input that is unique to this opportunity.
When POC is validated market cap will re-rate.
Then we move to other set of milestones around test, manufacturing, production, clinical validation.
The 5 Minute Test is the carrot for massive interest by lots of other companies. Hence the planetary alignment comparison on my part.
This is where the investment becomes very interesting!

Isthisawinner, where Paraytec have played a blinder is having milestone activities. This gives great transparency to everyone.
When PoC is demonstrated, I would therefore expect a similar milestone approach for test delivery.
Agree that funding could be provided by the UK government for a fast test to help with covid19 testing.
Equally, recall The Technology Partnership (TTP) (https://www.ttp.com), were making a call to arms - TTP were after a 5 minute test (BBC Radio 4 Today 6:15, 18/9/20) for manufacturing. If a manufacturing deal could be made their would be massive potential for all companies involved with a rapid 5 minute test!
If the planets align then this could be one of those shares that provides great returns to investors.
DYOR. Please look at market cap here compared with other covid stocks and then evaluate what a comparable market cap would imply for the BRH share price. Not ramping, just highlighting what I see!

Just gotta hope that Paraytec / Sheffield University will succeed in successfully validating their 5 MINUTE Proof of Concept (PoC) due early October.
No need to ramp, the PoC either succeeds or fails.
No need for stop loss, this is a binary outcome.

From the news today looks like the White House uses the Abbott ID Now test, which has been found to produce a significant percentage of false negatives. Researching the Abbott ID Now test :

"The sensitivity of POCT in this population was calculated to be 94.1% [CI 71.31-99.85%] and the specificity was 99.0% [CI 94.33-99.97%]."
Those are huge Confidence Intervals. Could be much lower S & S.
Note disclaimer in the pdf:
"we recommend a two-pronged testing approach in which COVID-19 suspect patients are tested by the more sensitive PCR, while asymptomatic patients with a low pre-test probability of infection are tested with POCT supplemented by PCR confirmation of positive results. Furthermore, isolation decisions should not be based on POCT results alone."

Genomes per ml is an interesting way to specify the amount of virus. Is genomes per ml the same as viral particles per ml (that Dr AS references)?
If it is different what is the conversion factor between the two?
I tried doing a Google search based on those questions, but the answers were not simple.
Any thoughts appreciated from our resident chemists!

R4 Today (8:10 on 3/10/20) reporting that test results from Trump's team are waiting to be obtained (implying major time delay) and that his team are scrambling to think what to do.
No one is immune from the virus.

Trump’s positive test for Covid-19 has resulted in stock markets around the world being sold off as the news broke. No doubt we can expect that to last well into next week.

If the president is very sick over the next couple of weeks, what happens?
All this underlines the importance of rapid testing. When the 5 Minute proof of concept is validated by Paraytec/Sheffield University this test needs to be rolled out with equal rapidity.
Testing is always key in a pandemic. UK is witnessing difficulties in second wave. We need to use everything against this virus to isolate it quickly.
