The vaccine lobbyists will want funding away from the dodgy Innova LFT tests to the vaccine!

Innova tests are no really poor in low prevalence, but have shown some use on high prevalence waves. Its really down to how they are used. Deeks was not complementary and has won the day!!

Listen to Yesterday in Parliament BBC R4 6:46 on 15/12/20. Han**** was asked in Parliament about the accuracy of the Innova LFT and was asked to delay the rollout.
His response:
"the Government intended to Test, test, test"!

So the cancellation of the Tender is interesting!!

Money is tight. Billions have been frittered away. Brexit has provided monetary focus.
I recall listening on R4 that some did not belief in Operation Moonshot and wanted the unused allocated money spent on vaccine rollout.
With talk of AZ vaccine rollout has this point been reached? Who knows?
£912M does not seem too big an order.
Volumes and specifications are mentioned. The AZ tender discussed tonight?? PCR expansion?
We have gone through two waves and procured LFTs must be massively stockpiled.
The questions for me for the Government are:
*How many Innova LFTs were procured?
*How many are available?
* What is the estimated LFT usage during a Covid Wave?

Also bear in mind the UK is only one market.
However, Innova can solely claim " as used by UK HMG" in their marketing PR.

I also note that final notification takes a long period from tender closure.
Do we really think we will see notification either way for the £912M tender before Christmas??

Johnhumpo, I can validate the error is associated with Google Finance.
On 17/8/20, I have a screenshot with share price at 0.56p (+72.31%) but Market cap on Google Finance @ £106.45M!

Lets hope for similar rise this week!

Only explanation is an incorrect calculation by Google Finance!

Biffa, as I explained the cul-de-sac rationale I stated put them between a rock and a hard place. They would have had to work out by problem solving what was wrong. Difficult if a Technical Paper is telling you the wrong conclusion!!
