I’m surprised to read Barclays have not yet sold your CAI shares. If you don’t want them sold at current low price can you not do as advised in Oct 27th RNS? “If individual shareholders who hold Keras Shares through a Nominee company want to transfer their Calidus shares to their own name, they will have to execute a simple off-market transfer form with their Nominee company whereby the Calidus shares will be transferred to the individual, who will be issued with a new SRN. Off-market forms can be found at https://automic.com.au/media/forms/Standard%20Transfer%20Form.pdf. Any queries regarding this form should be directed to Automic.“

I don’t believe share certificates have been issued.
From the RNS - “· Post the demerger, Keras shareholders on the Record Date* will be issued with a Security-Holder Reference number ('SRN') by Automic, which must be quoted when trading in Calidus shares. The SRN will be included on a Holding Statement that will be posted to the shareholder's registered address.”
Our friend’s paperwork wasn’t a share certificate, hence I called it paperwork rather than certificate. .......???
Hi Andee! Not with AJBell but it’s all rather perplexing isn’t it! A friend of ours held his own Keras share certificate & received the Calidus share paperwork through the post weeks ago, followed by a 2nd version post consolidation. That was well before Christmas. For other shares you hold through AJBell are they actually held in your name, or in a Nominee account ie. held in AJ Bell’s name? If in AJ Bell’s name, why the need to change the name for the Calidus shares? If in your name, and the Calidus shares came through as AJBell I posted the October RNS info on the “simple off-market transfer form” back on Thursday, which doesn’t look like it should take “months”. Pre distribution did AJ Bell say they would be able to handle trades in Calidus? Is all this just highlighting the incompatibility of LSE & ASX systems? Though if some institutions can trade ASX shares why not all? [Puzzled look ;-)]
NMH19 - do you really want to sell your Calidus shares now, before they really get going? If not, this is from the KRS 24th October RNS - “ · Shareholders who hold their ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in Keras ('Keras Shares') through a Nominee account with their stockbroker, i.e. a broking account where their Keras Shares are not directly registered in their own name, will not be issued with an SRN. Instead, the Nominee company will receive a single SRN for all the Calidus shares that Nominee company holds. The Nominee may be able to hold these shares for the account of individual shareholders and trade on the ASX; however each Keras shareholder will need to determine this for his or her individual circumstances.
· If individual shareholders who hold Keras Shares through a Nominee company want to transfer their Calidus shares to their own name, they will have to execute a simple off-market transfer form with their Nominee company whereby the Calidus shares will be transferred to the individual, who will be issued with a new SRN. Off-market forms can be found at https://automic.com.au/media/forms/Standard%20Transfer%20Form.pdf. Any queries regarding this form should be directed to Automic.
· Euroz Securities ('Euroz'), headquartered in Perth, Australia, has offered to assist new Calidus shareholders to set up an account to hold individually registered shares. There is no setup or holding cost associated with such an account. The process is very simple and can be completed online. For more information, please contact Paul Berson at Euroz on email pberson@euroz.com or +61 89346 0328. ”
So HSBC should not be making you sell them if you don’t want to! Or any other brokers come to that !
I don’t want to throw a spanner in anyone’s works, but the Keras RNS on capital gains on Calidus demerger on 21st Nov actually says “ For UK taxpayers, the value of ordinary shares in Calidus Resources Limited ('Calidus Shares') received under the Demerger will be treated as a part disposal by Keras shareholders of their investment in Keras. As only part of the investment in Keras has been returned, only part of the cost of that investment can be deducted in the tax computation of the gain or loss accruing on the part disposal.” So WILL BE TREATED AS PART DISPOSAL. Just reading, in no way a tax expert/advisor!
The CAI SP is normally all but live on their own website (Calidus.com.au) & there’s normally a 20 minute delay on the Hot Copper site (https://hotcopper.com.au/asx/cai/discussion/) but both are still showing 26th Nov price, so could be that if IG etc. can trade CAI online they are wired in to the same feed, and that’s not updated to post consolidation yet?
