Thanks for the reply. I usually am more of a hoarder as well and will probably hold on to these as I used to hold BATS that I bought at £19.50 and sold for £28 a share feeling happy with myself. Now Bats are nudging £38 a share! I hold some shell no BP but still a decent rise today.

Gold and silver flying upwards as I type, maybe it will go up a bit tomorrow!

Yep, this is propping up my ISA after the drubbing on my oil shares over the last 2 days. Is it time to take some profits or let it run, I'm sure I don't know.

Lower metal prices.

I hope fres will come good as well. I am worried silver could drop another 50% from here. If you look at a long term graphs gold and silver prices have been a huge bubble that has burst, I admit I was foolish to believe all of the hype back in 2011 and reading all of the doom mongers spouting on about the end of currency and investing into gold and silver. They won and I lost.

QE yes, just before Christmas last year I think this went to 6.50 and recovered. I am concerned about the silver price decline at 5 year lows though. I think when i sell fres im not coming back to precoius metals ever again!

Also silver is at it's lowest price since jan 2010. Fres is predominately linked to the silver price which is notoriously volatile. I wouldn't rule out this hitting £5 or worse! unluckily I do hold these, not many mind you or I wouldn't sleep at night.

hi. When i sold out of ABG i bought fresnillo a while after at about £11. i am now down a lot more than if i stayed in this to begin with! talk a bout a glutton for punishment

I'm no longer invested here, but in my experience when the market falls ABG used to fall twice as fast!

When this was talked about as a takeover target it was higher than today, so i would think that is not factored into the price as we stand.

The price will plummet 80p or thereabouts tomorrow as it is ex dividend. Surely any short cfd provider would take that into consideration, there is no free lunch on the stock market. As for the Japan tobacco takeover that was talked about ages ago, I never take any notice of daily mail finance talk.

Yeah a good finish, i must admit we were staring down the barrel when it went from 690 to 675 in short order!. I really hope we have found some support but am still a bit nervous about adding more.

She os a rogue alright, but its metal prices that are killing us on fres so its not really the company at fault. I still think silver is good value long term at these prices looking at the 10 and 20 year price charts

Thank god i only have 200 of these buggers! Has the nasty look of ABG about it and that bugger cost me over 1500 in write offs. Someone is having a good old laugh at us i'm sure..

Maybe the tobacco lobby can nobble the government, dont forget how much taxes are raised for the gov from tobacco. Smokers are national benefactors
