As for flying under the radar, the fact it is not part of the ftse250 or 350 indexes means it is not visible un less you know about it already. I only heard about this from another poster on these boards as I was not in Anglo when it divested.
Plus500 is Israeli domiciled and a depositary interest share like thungela, but that is in the ftse250.

Was up nicely until 1 o'clock then due south into the close. I was thinking of selling at £9 but wanted to hold on until the results to see how profitable it is and the size of the up coming dividend , after much speculation. At the moment we are getting whipped around with volatile coal prices.

Spot on driftking27. I luckily bought near the bottom of the 2016 commodity crash and DIVs since then have wiped out the cost of the shares. From now on all DIVs are pure profit and I won't be selling any RIO come whatever.

Thanks, I must admit I find it hard to decipher PRU results and all the RNS announcements! I am not an accountant or financial expert like some on here. There is so much information to digest.

Same here but not with ULVR. Took the activist investor spike to sell a third of my ULVR @3976 (still at a small loss)
Keeping the other 2/3rds for now and just watching. I worry sky high energy costs and inflation are going to be very bad for everything, ULVR margins are going to be squeezed.
Throw in a war and not yet fully recovered form the worst pandemic in 100 years it's certainly hard times for some sectors.

Agreed - you might well be correct short term but every time in the past I have panicked and sold a share when it has looked bleak it has recovered and then some, not immediately but in time. I sold Glencore for 79.5p in 2016 and what a great move that was!.

I thought the whole market would of crashed this morning on the news overnight regarding Ukraine, then to see this jeez what a nightmare for holders (me included). P Hargreaves must be spitting feathers this morning seeing his baby getting trashed like this. No shallow end in the stock market.

I think China will eventually have give up on the idea of zero covid, it is simply not practical and pretty much endemic everywhere in the world. Constant lockdowns will hurt their economy too much.

Not really as simple as that. Plus will buy back a set amount each day, maybe a few 100k worth. If there is a lot of selling pressure a buyback will not support the share price short term.

Results look good to me, current yield 6.6% at todays price and if you took the gamble before Christmas and bought in much lower you could be over 8% yield. My current average is 2819p

I assume as this is a South African domiciled company that any dividend will be liable to a 20% dividend withholding tax?
All will become clear after the first dividend is paid but I am expecting to lose 20% of it.
