With the likely Newmont acquisition of Newcrest, IMHO, it reminded me of an excellent video presentation by Benjamin Ackerman, just over a year ago now, at the NewGenGold Conference in December 2021. It runs throught he history of Havieron, the geology and drilling, including the early days involving both Newmont & Newcrest.

Canaccord Genuity upgraded Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE:NEM) to Buy from Hold and raised its price target to $55 from $53 following the company's reported Q4/22 earnings last month, updated guidance, and reserve and resources...

...According to the firm, Newmont provides investors with a steady gold production profile centered on geopolitically stable jurisdictions, with a deep project pipeline, strong balance sheet and FCF generation, and a proven operating team. This is great free Greatland publicity, and I doubt Sherry expected it!

IMHO, I believe that UK investors probably need to appreciate that the vast majority of the business that we do, has always been through our 100% owned subsidiary company in Australia, Greatland Pty. Ltd., and increasingly so. We currently hold a loan of just over £33 million from Greatland Pty. Ltd. for our interest in the Havieron Joint Venture.

With the upcoming ASX listing I certianly see some further operational/management/financial distance being placed between Greatland Gold PLC. and Greatland Pty. Ltd., although we still own Greatland Pty. Ltd., 100%, as a subsidiary company.

The mention of the current, largely new, BOD, and possibility to meet them has prompted me to make this observation.

Yup, if this continues, it's looking good for the gold price, and ultimately gold mining stocks.

Some time lag is inevitable, but next week could be very interesting.

Of course it's complete nonsense! IMO too! It's not just a key factor for us, but a key factor for anyone connected now, or in future, with Havieron.

The 'Telfer Factor', which I've called it, for several years now, has not diminished at all in calculations!

IMHO, there is no way, whatsoever, that Telfer would be closed down, when Havieron is looking to be a once in a generation mother lode, maybe more!

OK, maybe, in the medium term, a new mine will be built withing the Havieron tenement, but initially Telfer will be used, without any doubt in my mind, whatsoever, and however the takeover ends, or not.
