If "no one knows for sure", why do you think it "could take 6 months"?

IMHO, that's completely unrealistic in the extreme!

Do you really think that the updated MRE, the last of which was nearly 13 months ago now (Greatland Gold Havieron Mineral Resource Update of the 3rd March 2022) will be delayed, potentially, until, maybe October 2023?!

BTW? so, I'd be interested to know which one's, in particular, do you doubt, or do you doubt all all of them, and why?

These are the latest timelines from Shaun Day on his last visit:

- Havieron is ahead of schedule

- The next Havieron mineral resource update would probably be in August, and both Newcrest & Greatland Gold are aligned on that situation.

- The Havieron DFS is not expected now until the Newmont/Newcrest takeover situation is resolved, one way or another.

- The Newmont/Newcrest takeover, or not, would probably be finalised in April according to most commentators/banks, etc.

- The decision to mine would be expected within 30 days of the DFS.

There are 40bn reasons to upbeat about the prospects for the gold sector.

In dollar terms, the number above is the value of merger and acquisition activity seen so far this year in the sector.

Newcrest Mining & Harmony Gold have a J/V agreement at Wafi-Golpu in Papua New Guinea. It is one of the major Newcrest Mining gold/copper growth projects, as is Havieron.

WoW! These negotiations have been going on for years now, and which I've mentioned many times over that period. I'm sure that many like me would consider this very intertesting timing indeed too!:

Really? Maybe you should read it again?

Quite frankly I can't believe some of the posts here, which show, sadly, yet again, the usual, total lack of understanding of the mining industry. If you want a 'quick buck', based on the latest RNS only, and nothing more, then by all means, take a punt, but, if you want a medium/long term investment, as many others do, then it takes some time, often considerable.

Just as an example, Havieron, the J/V project with Greatland Gold & Newcrest Mining, was drilled by Newcrest decades before Greatland Gold hit the 'hot spots' with HAD001 & HAD005!

The latest drilling at Red Setter are sighting drills, which, together with airbourne analysis, are all about the geologists trying to pinpoint the best areas for the next drill campaign.

I totally appreciate that everyone has their own investment strategies, which change during their lifetime, but having an understanding of the basics of the mining industry is surely a prerequisite.

IMHO, this current sp is a no-brainer to buy, and hold, but good luck, whatever your view!

This should be a particularly interesting one, especially if it's just after an agreement to a Newmont takeover, or during further negotiations (horse trading) for the same.
