Not sure quite whether to read anything into that or not (ie. not Greatland Gold)?

@ Culpepper I've read your posts now, for some considerable time, without commenting.

However, what I just cannot comprehend now, and never have, what you actual relationship is with GGP, as an investor, or not?

You appear to move from praise, through neutral, to 'negativity', often in the same post.

Care to expand? I'm easy either way, which is clearly your choice, and I have no issue with that, whatsoever, but, unlike 99.9% of posters on this forum, your actual position is unclear to me, and I'm sure others.

IMHO, just ignore the usual de-rampers/bashers and look at the fundamentals! The sp at 2.30p is now, again, IMHO, ludicrously cheap when you look at the WSBN tenement holdings, especially in the Paterson region, where we've already hit positive mineralisation, and are working on defining the next drill holes. Sadly, a great many investors just don't understand exploration, and the time it takes! With the limited free float, just one bit of positive news would see WSBN rise, immediately, to significantly higher levels.

Yes, it's a risk, for sure, but that's all part of the investment.

If you snooze, you lose! However, at this price, IMHO, you'd be really stupid to!

Nice to see us moving away from that stubborn +/- 8p today, so far anyway!

In further thought over the past day, I think it's also only fair to say that, SHOULD there be any potential future sale of Havieron/Telfer to 'us' and/or another party, down the road, then the legal, and other M&A costs involved, would probably be huge, but significantly larger with two 'entities' involved. This scenario could well also be what Shaun Day has eluded to for some time, with relation to the costs involved. Anyway, just more personal thoughts on the matter. TT

I agree with your thoughts too kevin. Shaun Day did sepecifically mention a 'top hat' for Havieron when he was last here.

However, this could still be a NEW entity, not necessarily Greatland Gold PLC.

A new holding company could be formed, subject to shareholder vote, and this would be the 'entity' that Shaun Day is eluding to, with a transference of shares.

@ fleurs Shaun Day has always made it clear that while Greatland will be listed on the ASX, the company’s AIM listing will be retained such that existing shareholderscan continue to trade Greatland on AIM.

Even down the line, should this situation change, it's very easy for UK investors to trade on ASX, and indeed hold ASX shares in a Stocks & Shares ISA, which I know some us do already.

I think that this is the important point that Shaun Day made in March, as I already posted above ("Top hat", or holding company), and one which Shaun Day mentions again in the interview with Proactive:

".. we'll likely try to put an Australian vehicle top hat on top of the Havieron entity so we don't have to go through UK legal advice we do it within the Australian jurisdiction and I think that really reduces our cost and also speeds up our cycle time to be able to do things .."

As always, the proof will be in the pudding, but it's clear that shareholders will have a vote.

Fred makes a very valid point. This was all alluded to when Shaun Day was last over here in March, when he stated:

"....but the liquidity will be here in London we'll probably have a scheme of arrangement here for shareholders to approve that, we're working through the details because right now so I might digress a bit again right now everything we do in Australia we get Australian legal advice, then we get UK legal advice - so it cost us twice as much twice the time sometimes those advice are not the same so then we need to get them in a room, it takes us three times the cost and time - we'll likely try to put an Australian vehicle top hat on top of the Havieron entity so we don't have to go through UK legal advice we do it within the Australian jurisdiction and I think that really reduces our cost and also speeds up our cycle time to be able to do things - so London still becomes remains the primary liquidity and where our shares trade but I think having that simplicity of structure will help and again we'll explain this more but I and I'll explain it more tonight for those coming to the town hall meeting but I think that's going to really help simplify the company, reduce costs and make better use of the platforms we have.."

Until it's clear EXACTLY what will be put to shareholders to vote on, it's difficult to comment, but the main rationale appears to be a reduction in the costs involved with the two jurisdictions.

The weak production effort from Newmont Corp in the first quarter of this year with a 40% slump in net profit, explains why it really wants Australia’s Newcrest Mining.

Newcrest has the ounces and lower costs that would help revitalise Newmont’s bottom line – the US giant’s management and board know that and will do their best not to show their eagerness....

...Newcrest also has 70% of the still growing Havieron gold copper prospect near Telfer in WA which will be another low-cost operation because it will use Telfer’s processing stream (saving millions of dollars in added costs)

As well, Newcrest revealed in its quarterly report on Thursday that a new area of mineralisation called East Ridge had been outlined at Red Chris, while rich new zones of gold mineralisation continue to be identified around the Brucejack mine. Both are in British Columbia in Canada.

None of these prospects seem to be mentioned in all the takeover talk and yet they should be because they are in stable Canada and Australia which adds to their future attraction....
