Exactly Tom! Newcrest even have a company app to aid maintenance shutdowns, which occur throughout the mining industry and any other production facilities globally...

Exactly panama! Quite why some posters on here continue to, repetatively, post the same, IMHO, nonsense, about some issues, even when Shaun Day has, over the last couple of weeks, made some pretty clear timelines about those same issues, is beyond me!

It's beyond belief to me, as a business owner and investor, for over 40 years now, that some posters still continue to believe that our company MD should post every minutae of what's happening, no doubt, in our discussions with many parties, during the largest M&A activity in the sector, ever! Clearly they have no comprehension, whatsoever, in what's involved, and how such information could ruin any future deal(s)!

That said, I also have no comprehension as to how anyone cannot appreciate that, IMHO, Shaun Day has been one of the most informative and engaging MD's I've ever seen in my investment life!

I guess, maybe, giving too much, just gives the de-rampers yet more opportunities to do what they wish to do!

Fitch Ratings has assigned Newmont Corporation a first-time Long-Term Issuer Default Rating of 'A-' with a Stable Outlook. Fitch has also assigned an 'A-' rating to the company's senior unsecured debt and revolving credit facility.

The ratings reflect Newmont's leading size, scale and operational diversification, relatively low jurisdiction risk, strong liquidity and modest leverage.

The Stable Outlook reflects Fitch's view that Newmont's EBITDA net leverage will be sustained at or below 0.5x, its average cost position in the second quartile of the global cost curve on average; and its average operating mine life will be at least 12 years....

...Newcrest Would Add Scale/Optionality: Fitch believes Newmont's current scale is unparalleled and the addition of Newcrest would allow Newmont to apply best practices across a wider portfolio and enhance regional scale in the low risk jurisdictions of Canada and Australia. The transaction would also allow Newmont longer-term benefits from optimizing the project pipeline and its portfolio by potentially divesting operations that are of lower value to Newmont and investing the proceeds in higher value assets. Fitch believes Newcrest would add roughly two million ounces annual gold sales or 34% of 2023 gold sales volume, as well as substantially increase its copper exposure....

IMHO, it's just yet more of the usual AIM, wild-west sp manipulation! We head down to within around 1% of the over 3 year intraday sp low, and then, so far today, head up to around 8% above it!

That all said, the sp remains ludicrous, in the extreme, for what we have!
