IMHO, as a long term investor in Wishbone, I just ignore the short term 'investors' on here, who usually have a very limited, or zero understanding of the mining industry.

Sure, I totally understand the usual AIM manipulations & MM/shorter games in WSBN, and just about every other AIM share.

However, IMHO, it's clearly obvious, that the current WSBN share price is ludicrous, in the extreme, based on our tenement ownership in the Paterson WA region alone, even before any potential major hit. That hit, all the more probable, in what is the best real estate for major gold/copper finds recently!

If you snooze you lose!

What's more, if you think you'll be able to get back in, if/when we hit some major mineralisation at Red Setter, then think on..You won't! You'll be locked out by the market!

This is great news! Shaun Day has been keen to get cracking on Ernest Giles for some considerable time now. It's massive, but there has been a lot of drilling in the past already, and targets are already well established.

IMHO, based on the last assay lab comments by Shaun Day, I've expected the latest Scally and Paterson South assay results towards the end of this month, so anytime soon, but I certainly don;t consider them as being late/delayed.

I'd be very surprised if it was anything below 9m oz equiv.

As others have said, this is a constantly evolving situation, in one of the biggest, if not the biggest, M&A activities in the gold/copper global industry, and we are acting in our best interests.

The great Wyloo/Forest furyher support is not unexpected, and speaks a lot about what could be happening down the line too.

Interesting...Same number of mentions of Rio as there are of Newcrest...I suspect, as I've said before, that Shaun Day will major on the RIO J/V in both upcoming conference presentations, as well as the Town Hall meeting!

The latest well researched updated piece from Taylor Dart at Seeking Alpha today, which looks further into the Newmont/Newcrest deal, where he mentions Havieron and it's positive medium/long term benefits:

"....Red Chris is a money-losing asset currently, but it's a future ~300,000 ounce gold producer at negative ~$200/oz AISC from 2029-2035, and Havieron will also come online later this decade, a high-grade asset whose ore will be trucked to Telfer, with AISC expected to come in below $800/oz.

Hence, this will be a very different looking group of assets from a free cash flow standpoint later this decade when Havieron and Red Chris Block Cave are online, Brucejack is further optimized and Lihir's production profile is above 1.0 million ounces per annum...."

"...So, while the price paid may look steep, it's hard to put a price on multiple assets with what look to be at least 25 year mine lives (Cadia, Havieron, Red Chris, Wafi Golpu) with all-in sustaining costs coming in between [-] $100/oz and ~$800/oz, miles below the current industry average. ..."

It's an interesting situation with regards Greatland and the likes of the sp, etc. I'm certainly not going to start giving predictions, which I never have to date, but I honestly believe that a lot of people forget that we're a mining exploration company and remain very myopic about Havieron.

As the previous posters imply, just one, even relatively small (compared with Havieron) find could easily see the sp rising by many multiples in a very short period of time.

Yes, indeed, don't forget the copper, and our other numerous tenements (mainly 100% owned + Newcrest & RIO J/Vs), any of which have been increasingly likely, in probability terms, due to their Paterson & surrounding area location, to have a commercial hit. And don't look at Havieron as the 'one & only'!

So, maybe you missed the latest news about our J/V with Rio Tinto, and drilling at Decka at Paterson South? We used RC drilling there because it's a shallower ground cover, so the RC was able to penetrate sufficiently to get the data we need, at significantly reduced cost.

IMHO, I just don't understand any logic with that view, since you don't mention one of the most importand words, "grade" in that hypothesis. What's the point in just looking for the "low hanging fruit", if the grades are not commercial, when they are, again, IMHO, in deeper mining?

I think you're possibly missing the important point, clearly made by both Newcrest Mining (under Sandeep Biswas), as well as Shaun Day, namely:

Sandeep Biswas: "...but the focus is get those high grade tonnes from the crescent zone into Telfer, as soon as we possibly can, while we're working on what the entire deposit looks like. It's really exciting. It's work in progress. Get the cash flowing as soon as you can. That's always my principle."

Shaun Day: "Havieron just continues to give, and that's all part of delivering, firstly, the start up mine, as the SE Crescent, tailor made for our balance sheet - Drive in, get into production, move that high grade ore through the mill and generate free cash flow, but then to re-invest into the broader Havieron opportunity. It's brilliant to work on an ore body like this."

Just to mix things up a bit, don't forget that Shaun Day sees twooptions with regards Havieron ore, but curremtly prefers the Telfer option...

"...There are two ways to process Havieron ore, you know one is through the existing infrastructure, which is Telfer and which is 45 kilometres down the road and the existing, I guess, relatively de-risked pathway to the processing. An alternative is to build a new purpose-built plant right at the mine mouth. Now that does have certain advantages to it, that new piece of kit , it’s the right size for Havieron and you avoid haulage for years, if not more likely decades of material to Telfer."

"So, there is, depending on the size of the mine, the NPV is actually better to build a processing plant at the mine mouth. But you also have to have to weigh that up with the time frame it would take to construct, the funding you need to do that construction and the greater risk of actually undertaking a major project as opposed to taking advantage of existing infrastructure."

"I think it's very likely that we will continue the base case of taking advantage of that existing infrastructure. But world class ore bodies you can solve in multiple ways and know. So, we have the luxury of a choice bit. But right now, I would steer people towards what the PFS said, which is the base case is processing through Telfer and you can close Telfer mining and still run the processing centre."

That doesn't of course mean that things could change to a Havieron plant at a later date, under a multitude of possible future scenarios.
