Totally hypothetical - Damages - $3b or £2.2b. 50:50 split as per provisions in INDV and RB is £1.1b net against INDV. 50% settlement, £550m...circa £400m already provided?

130p as of today...so it seems there is a real case for some major upside here.

If Indivior is so bad why are they still allowed to sell the product in dispute? That to me is also a real mystery..

Swallowed the loss after last drill debacle...agree that is part of investing in o&g. It was the misinformation that annoyed me - said they would arrange a farm in - did not. Said drill would take approx x days, within about half that time drill results drops. My issue is, they should have been straight forward. They weren't. I was warned about CHAR last time I punted and did not listen. I hope you kill it on a significant rise but this one left a nasty taste in the mouth.

My take on it, is that this is politically motivated and clearly an attempt to find a scapegoat to blame for what is a public health crisis. I read the letter and statement from Indivior - and I think it is fairly clear from prior research that they actually do educate doctors re: the prescription of their drugs. I think there is a risk that the Americans just want to get their hands on the IP and state produce these drugs.

I also think there is a real issue with the claims if they occurred before Indivior span off..are Indivior even liable for this? Why would RB provide if they were not also on the hook? I find it hard to understand why the DoJ would not look at RB if this is true? Seems strange.

Either way - its an aggressive lawsuit, but we really have little more information at this stage. I think the market has over reacted as can be expected, so personally I see this rising to about 50/60p once more information comes to light. Could have read this all wrong but happy to take a few at these prices and see.

Would not trust this company with a single penny. The last drill was a total joke with total inability to get a farm in and we risk despite clearly saying this was the strategy. Be careful here.

Kraken is important to this company but at 30% of total production, the difference between 35k and 50k bopd is not so fundamental. I don't think the re rate to mid 20s or even 30 will take as long as you think L3Trader - but I respect the balance you bring to the table.

They did say in the presentation that DC4 water cut would be lower than normal to start with as it flows dry oil at the start of pumping - so I would wait until a few more loads have been worked before extrapolating the production figures.

In the annual results Q&A analysts were going after the water cut and the issue that there are now water deposits in the seismic profile. There was some clear uncertainty based on the responses that were given as to whether they had drilled into these water deposits and whether the water deposits already within the structure impacted the reserves. If downgrades by Cairn were just related to above water ops I would not really care as I am sure they can be ironed out. I just didn't like the info on the water cut and profiling of the play.

I would appreciate one of you guys just laying out what the impact of the tanker track is. Are you imputing production rate by the time between tanker offloads. How many days will it be if this tanker starts offload on Saturday and how does it compare with single train ops?

Market is savage when it comes to leveraged oil plays - PMO was like a rollercoater a few years back. I care not too much about the debt here, more about the operations and reserves.

Someone on the other forum claimed it was on Bloomberg. Really though if an institution like Barclays is attaching it's name to quotes like that I expect it to be more legitimate...needs to be looked at. Exercise some scepticism.

I take a lot of comments on here with a pinch of north sea salt...however I was curious to see if I could trade today. Tried a small buy about lunchtime and also got NT. Could be a number of explanations. There is going to be a bit if volatility here in next week or so I expect. Some will try and trade it but I'm not convinced that is the best option. If you believe in the fundamentals and have faith that Kraken will come good then I would ride this without stops...expect a material re rate will come with oil over $70.

Look at Q2 oil price graph over last 3 years...I think the trend is upwards.

I don't think we should be hedging at this point too much...the seasonality is just coming into a bullish period for oil with refinery maintenance over
