A close at or above 573 represents a good week in my view. That’ll be 15p for the week. Do that for a few weeks and it could finally break the 600 barrier. Friday afternoon wishful thinking on my part of course!

Let’s hope so. Nice steady progress is what I’d like, just passed being an average of £2.00 up on my holding (3400). Small time by many peoples’ standards but nevertheless!

UBS raises EZJ to 775 “buy”.

I wouldn’t say crashed. It was up 1.8p. I thought it would be better but perhaps a day of “stability” is not a bad thing? A steady onwards and upwards, albeit with daily/weekly fluctuations is my preference.

Didn’t get chance to post anything in the last week or so, life gave me a few curved balls (I’ve got ointment now so getting better!).

I hope all had good weekends. Looking back at last week I’m pleased EZJ ended higher than it opened. As usual, reasonable results resulted in volatility, especially on Friday afternoon (probably because Trump trumped). But prior to the orange outburst the SP had bounced back well.

Given that the SP over the week ended was up a bit I think there is underlying resilience and for medium and long term holders I’d say keep the faith. I feel a nice rise coming but, hey, what do I know?!!

@Prime. You asked about the dog. The good news is that he’s off the vodka and has stopped stealing my whisky. Only problem is he is now on roll ups and from the whiff I don’t think it’s just Golden Virginia. He’s chilled out and laughing a lot but my snacks keep disappearing. I have my suspicions!!!

I don’t believe lower oil will affect Thursdays figures as already hedged in for the reporting period; but it’s good for future prospects.

In the scheme of things I’m small time (hold 3400) but they are all in the positive now with an average of 375 so sitting nicely. Smaller holing in Wizz at an average of 1406. Small amount in Whitbread and down on those but only a few hundred quid.

@Prime. Took you that time to scrape the mould off the old loaf then?!!!

Ok, I’ll go for 585 close on Friday. That’ll probably mean it will tank!!! We need this board to remain a Savage free area.

Fares on other routes to Belfast on the same days don’t seem overly high. The Air Fungus flights from Southampton around the same time are also very high. I can’t think of any reason for this. Anyone with any idea why?

Re the SP, very pleased with the rise which now means all of my 20 purchases (3400 in total) are in positive territory. My average is 375.6 so looking at a nice return.

@Avocet. The mention of Brexit here reminded me of one of the most considerate acts I’ve ever heard of. A friend of mine has two daughters who, at the time were 17 and 14 respectively. Their grandparents were retired. The girls were active travellers to various parts of Europe with their parents and were well read and informed (great parental encouragement). The grandparents decided that they should give their votes to the grand children as it was their future so took their instruction from the girls. Both opted for remain and their voice was at least heard, even though in the event we left. If only more people had been so considerate! One of the kindest acts! One of the girls (well a lady now) graduated and is fluent in Polish (was working there last I heard teaching or something like that).

Not trying to open up the Brexit debate here, just thought I’d share the story.

@Andy. You had me worried there, thought you had caught the Savage virus but then saw you said sub 500, not sub 400!!! Phew!

All in all, not too bad a finish today, honestly thought we were on for a sub 500 at one stage.

@Stille. Pleased you are spreading the word about the book, a very good read, informative, enlightening and funny all rolled into one. @Prime and others; if you are interested in the origins and expansion up to floatation I thoroughly recommend it. It’s only £7.

@Stille. It started when Prime once said that in order to strike up a conversation he would sometimes go out with a dog lead and pretend he was looking for his dog and ask people if they’d seen it. I then said that a dog was outside my door and it’s just snowballed from there. I find Prime very funny, it’s all just a bit of fun.

Back to the SP. Let’s hope it stays above 500 at least at close, anything above 522 would be a bonus.

That was a nice finish for the day, here’s hoping we end the week over 500. My next hope is for 522 or above, that would leave less than 3% of my holding in negative territory (got a bit of FOMO over a year ago so got a small number at 550). Average still 375 so sitting nicely.

PS. The dog is acting strangely, he’s up to something, not sure yet, I’ll keep you informed.

The dog seems to be ok but keeps acting weird. Not sure what it is but I have my suspicions; I’ll let you know how it goes but at the moment all whisky is accounted for (not much left in the bottle though!).

Nice prices on Southampton to Glasgow Thursday and Friday. £143 and £248 respectively.
