Reflecting the boom in air travel as households used their disposable incomes to go on holiday, travel agents and tour operators experienced an 8.1% increase in income in the three months to February on the previous three-month period.

Savage Airways flight to Sub 400 has been cancelled due to a slight loss of cabin pressure and a reduction in the number of wings!

This Sunday is now sold out. This route is clearly doing well. Interestingly Southampton to Belfast on Sunday 13th/20th July are currently £441 and £427 respectively. Aer Lingus fares on the same route on those dates are also high (but not that high). I’ve checked London and Bristol to Belfast on those dates and they are “normal”, nothing outstanding so I can’t understand why Southampton should be so high in those dates. I’ve checked cruises to/from Southampton and nothing stands out. Anyone with any idea what May be going on?

So Savage. It didn’t go sub 400 today after all. Lost 2.15% against 4.9 % for the FTSE. I simply don’t see why you seem to single EZJ out.

I think EZJ will add more to Southampton. They’ve a few flights a week to Amsterdam and Paris now.

Kenton recently said they will be cutting back a bit on some domestic routes but I think there’s a lot of potential at SOU.

Possibly but someone also mentioned NATS which of course is nearby. But Southampton has a large catchment area/population with 1 hour by both road and rail; not everyone wants to traipse to Gatwick.

Next Friday is now sold out Southampton to Glasgow.
