RE: Opportunities were/are there?10 Feb 2020 17:43
I can't see a merger between nanosy and nanoco, as nanosy is a private company, though they could borrow and also bid for nanoco, they have 450 quantum dot patents themselves , so they don't necessarily need us , they are doing ok as you would say, if they did buy nanoco , then they would be a world leader in this field with 1203 Quantum dot patents, I don't think they would spend that kind of money on us just to achieve that aim., !!. But others with deep pockets might, and no borrowings.
The European union is stopping cadmium TV,s from October 2019 , so it's correct there should be a explosion in quantum dot TV,s from now onwards , the cadmium TV,s were essentially and practically out anyway, I don't thing there's been any for sale for a long time now, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
I feel our suitors are a few big industry players , and including a once again pop-up- shop for the Chinese system/ government to pull in that technology for them to get a lead on Samsungs and it's S. Korean neighbours.
It's quite difficult to beat the Chinese endless money pit in these situations, as the other side nearly always know that the Chinese system can basically out his anyone, so quite often other bidders drop out to soon and let the Chinese have what they want at a reasonable premium. Take the Chinese out of the bidding and the others will bid probably much more. This is just my observations around China bidding for anything, they want it , they get it, they can easily make it completely uneconomic for another suitor to bid. There money is fantastic, but other countries industry's can be stolen and destroyed with the right financial offer. !!!
