Botbot1202 well I’ll just email nanoco's. CEO and get you cash and a Hamper . LOL
GLA
Well I'll be happy to take Samsungs shares or Apple's shares, which are both easily traded in the uk stock market,
Most likely a mixture of cash and shares is offered to win over share holder support. So the Chinese will have to cough up cash.
The thing about a share offering is that the offeree can be more generous than a cash offer, 1- shares can fluctuate , that has to be taken into account to provide for any normal price movements, though these big companies can take a slight dilution in there stride, it's nothing to them. They only have to worry about paying the dividend, we need to worry about the buyers fluctuating share price. Which is normally quite stable, though in a stable market.
I've often found that in these bid situations the much larger company can justify a substantial offer To its own share holders because the other bidders are slowly also increasing there bids for the target company.
Though if China thinks it's industries are disadvantaged by not having a quantum dot foothold in the market, which is actually the case, then the might of the Chinese yuan will play it's hand with a proposal to nanoco.
When you look at all the suitors , namely the ones put through for Due diligence , must obviously be very wealthy and big industry players. And that would indicate a substantial offer from even today's current share price.
This is only my sleepy Saturday morning thoughts around our open sales process.
Do we want apples shares, ? They would rather pay us shares than money in my opinion.
https://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?shareprice=0R2V&share=Apple-Ord
Or Samsung shares ,
https://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?shareprice=SMSN
Hopefully the next two weeks will throw some light on the matter.
GLA
Basscadett you posted some very interesting post, and yes you are throwing more light on why Samsung could or should be one of our suitors, excellent sir, this can all seem very complicated, though your post has really revealed a very important reason why Samsung would want nanaco, roll on Samsungs share offer.
GLA
Is it just me !, would chart positions not mainly be on a hold during this open sale process ? How can we have a target position of 30p when a bid could come in at any time of day at say 50p a share, also if no deal can be agreed then the shares could plunge to 10p to start with, though I feel our BOD will have been given substantial proposals/ offers to allow a Due diligence to take place,
so in light of all that it's more than probable we will get a reasonable good offer , as our BOD know we need a big partner/ buyer, to take everything we own to develop and monetise , I simply can't see them disappointing shareholders at the end of this sales process. Though anything's possible on the stockmarket.
GLA
I think that the card factory is the best card shop on the high street, the management are very good, though if this coronavirus
Takes hold in the uk, then even a small downturn on the high street will have a devastating effect on the already fragile retail sector, I really hope I'm wrong here, we've seen China slowly increase its coronavirus death rates, this virus has some way to run before it does all its damage to people and businesses,
I happily owned card factory shares until I seen the retail damage in China because of the virus, so I'm waiting it out to get back into card factory shares. For me the risk are significantly high that the high street could be hit.
I so hope I'm spectacularly wrong here, GLA
BlahblahDoh success here is for most people getting there full initial investment money back with a half decent return , most people if they are honest , don’t really care about who owns nanoco , as long as they make a profit, and as we frequently see a lot of companies don’t really care to much about there share holders losses with there investment.
The BOD they do tend to look after themselves with
Bonuses of options and money. And quite often t
hat company is consistently loss making.
My point is whoever pays out the most here is KING in shareholders eyes, that’s just my taking on things,
Chjna / Russia/ S, Korea, I honestly don’t care, and neither do most investors.
I will say one thing China really needs a quantum dot
Foothold in this market if it doesn’t want to fall behind the competition, our patents and processing facilities will make that possible, They need this,——Samsung would just probably want us.
So who ever wins will pay well for nanoco.
GLA
The Quantum dots technology is so complicated with constantly changing developments, it would or could make patent infringement disputes very difficult to marshal or settle.
It’s really a whole new area of discovery for some big multinationals With huge R&D budgets to explore.
Nanoco’s medical applications alone could make us a target for a big healthcare company, the long term potential here is huge, albeit 6/7 years away after human trials etc.
Samsung could just issue us with its shares and not spend a dollar until the dividend needs paying. That would suit me just fine. A mixture of Cash and shares is the norm nowadays .
For me the odds of success here is around 90% if it wasn’t I would just be a bystander here.
It’s what I call a great risk to win situation, and the odds are on my side.
GLA
I wouldn't be at all surprised if at leastv one of our patents haven't been infringed on some way of another, in the past litigation was only entered into when you were pretty sure of the breech of patent, or had tens of millions to use for the litigation, or insurance that covered that problem, or what's happening now days / litigation funding companies, they assess your claim, they fund your total claim, and then take a slice of the settlement. There's no risk to you or your companies bank balance, nothing needs to be provided for in your companies accounts for any litigation. And this form of litigation funding is expanding massively around the world.
Below is a typical company that does the funding, and its a AIM company.
My point being is that our company could avail of this type of funding should we need it, without any financial risk , or using any of nanoco's own money.

GLA,
Tissuethemaway I think you should start up your own events company, or the likes off.
Or your just a scammer taking £2000 off naive punters, you are funny though ,LOL good luck anyway.
If nanoco returns to £1 in 2020 , well we all know we will all probably just go looking for the next risky share punt.
BlahblahDoh I don’t profess to know our takeout price, though knowing our BOD have seen the price of other Quantum dot patent purchases, I’m quietly confident we have a comparative offer/ proposals on our boardroom Table, and with little risk that there will be a low bid .
Every party involved here knows the history of Quantum dot patent purchasing so far, so they all would have come to the rave with reasonable proposals, but just a few were of the kind that warranted these parties a Due diligence green card.
The rest were probably sniffing around with a low. opportunistic ball park offers , that’s just my reading of events.
I’m genuinely convinced there’s a substantial proposals in front of our BOD ok, also these offers in all likelihood might have been increased to win over nanoco’s BOD, but because it’s most likely that these are very wealthy suitors, then this process can be painfully stretched out.
Nanoco’s will most likely and deservingly loose its independence , and swallow up by a major player who will maximise what it’s bought for a substantial premium,*** notice the way I shove substantial premium in every were I can LOL.
DYOR , bidding situations can be extremely costly to get wrong. GLA
Bagpuss67 Apple buying nanoco after canceling our contracts, = "unlikely",
though Bagpuss67 would you bet your house on Apple not being one of our suitors ?.
Do Apple employ unscrupulous Tactics when targeting a potential takeover of its suppliers = absolutely " YES"
Apple canceled our contracts because = / it's been reported that it was to expensive for there requirements, or they found a cheaper alternative, that's very possible. Though not a technologically better alternative from what's been reported.
I'm not necessarily expecting Apple to be a suitor, but I'm sure they would be sniffing around nanoco's IP estate.
Bagpuss67 you also don't seem to grasp how low these big corporations will sink to, to get what they really want,
It's astounded me, it's more like the script from a Donald Trump autobiography.
GLA
Brainer, LOL
If they licence it then it would increase our valuation substantially, so maybe just maybe they are holding back to take us out that bit cheaper. Apple likes doing that, or cancel its contracts , and then make there usual checky offer, why would Apple buy a company at a high price when it’s the main customer ??? That’s a no brained .
GLA
Bagpuss67. Yes your correct, I only noticed that after I posted it, so sorry, would you like a job as my proof reader. LOL,
Don't eat your dinner while posting, that's my excuse.
GLA.
Maybe this will help a little. ?

I can't see a merger between nanosy and nanoco, as nanosy is a private company, though they could borrow and also bid for nanoco, they have 450 quantum dot patents themselves , so they don't necessarily need us , they are doing ok as you would say, if they did buy nanoco , then they would be a world leader in this field with 1203 Quantum dot patents, I don't think they would spend that kind of money on us just to achieve that aim., !!. But others with deep pockets might, and no borrowings.
The European union is stopping cadmium TV,s from October 2019 , so it's correct there should be a explosion in quantum dot TV,s from now onwards , the cadmium TV,s were essentially and practically out anyway, I don't thing there's been any for sale for a long time now, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
I feel our suitors are a few big industry players , and including a once again pop-up- shop for the Chinese system/ government to pull in that technology for them to get a lead on Samsungs and it's S. Korean neighbours.
It's quite difficult to beat the Chinese endless money pit in these situations, as the other side nearly always know that the Chinese system can basically out his anyone, so quite often other bidders drop out to soon and let the Chinese have what they want at a reasonable premium. Take the Chinese out of the bidding and the others will bid probably much more. This is just my observations around China bidding for anything, they want it , they get it, they can easily make it completely uneconomic for another suitor to bid. There money is fantastic, but other countries industry's can be stolen and destroyed with the right financial offer. !!!

Wellwell , I rest my case, as you prove my point for me.
GLA
Wellwell most social media bullies don't even know that they are bullying other posters, because it's in there nature,
It's inherently difficult to get them to stop because of this,
I can only try and reason with you, but if you continue bullying other posters then you will get barred from LSE.
This is a free and open forum, and nobody should be made to feel they can't respectfully expressed themselves , even if that is in a repetitive way.
I respect you , you respect me, that's how it should work.
GLA
Wellwell you've come on here with a very nasty unprovoked personal attack against me, to date I've never once attacked anyone here, we see in the media very frequently all the horrific results of online social media bullying , IE depression , self harming and suicides. I'm asking you to reflect on your personal attacks on other posters , and any resulting consequences .
GLA
MrBWM come back to me after Nanoco have accepted a substantial news worthy proposal/ offer/ Bid , and also when all the information you request gets leaked out into the press, and then tell me how wrong I am sir. Ok.
Don't sweat the small stuff, and never stand in the way of a good story.
Kind regards and very best wishes, and also have a great weekend.
