Not after a fight, but I disagree with your post. You state:

Yes CF talked about doubling the share price very 6 months I think it was. Yes, he probably shouldn’t have said that. But you need to evaluate that. Yes, the time lines were too ambitious. But I now sit on shares of a really exciting new company. There’s new facilities now. New challenge studies. It slower than I’d like. But investing is a endeavour of years.

Personally I think the share price would have taken a similar trajectory regardless of the over promising. But that is just my opinion. But even so, nothing is guaranteed.

You seem to be justifying (possibly endorsing) the misleading of shareholders by the Chief Exec.

As an investor, you should not be required to evaluate the words spoken by a company’s management. Whilst investing is an individual decision and based on risk, you rely on management to clarify that risk, not distort it!

CF’s words have completely distorted the risk evaluation and that is entirely wrong; particularly as virtually nothing he has said has come to fruition!

Happy to debate, but no hostility please (too old).

We are all here to make money. The fundamentals look good, the market timing is right, forward earnings pretty much booked.

Those figures just show that TLY is a growing business and to some extent, are a nice sensible defensive play. Nothing suggests they are operating outside of their market framework. Good on them.

Orph sets it’s own agenda. It doesn’t have competition so can set its own rules. Wild swings are what makes AIM investing exciting whether you are long, or a shorter.

News can land any moment with Orph that can change the landscape and that’s what excites. If I wanted steady growth, and maybe a dividend, I would invest in a utility.

TLY’s growth is good, but the graph is pre-defined for it. Good for them.

Hallsworthy made the same observation on 13th, but no one appeared to pick up on it:

Hi Wondergoals. This has been my thinking for some time. In my view, why spin off 4 companies simply because they were not precisely aligned to the core business. Many would argue that with diversity comes stability. My view was that CF was merely stripping (spinning) out the less attractive parts of the business so he can effect a (quick) sale of the core business. That to my mind was always the overriding objective. I think this view is shared by others too, but I don’t read every post. GLA

It was indicated that the next bit of news was going to ‘blow the ….. off’ and that they would not be RNSing anything under £10M revenue (maybe he said £20M I can’t remember).

The investing community are not fools and nothing that’s happened in the last 6 months warrants a $1B valuation (spin offs inc. or not). That was another claim.

It all undermines the credibility of the business and the leadership.

Spot on profitbagger, this was the downfall of many during the dotcom boom in the 90’s. Every legitimate question was met with derision if it wasn’t charged with total praise for the management (about which they actually knew nothing).

I keep mentioning Fastnet. Look it up, it was the very same narrative (videos to prove same on line). CF suggesting the company had hit oil in Morocco when they hadn’t and statements like ‘we’ve all made our money, time you made yours’ (again on line).

The guy only gets away with it because it’s AIM.

CF states that he wants the share price to grow steadily, yet jumps in with over enthusiastic promises creating the thing he says he doesn’t want (volatility). Volatility then attracts the day traders and it becomes self fulfilling.

He doesn’t need to do this. We are invested for the fundamentals, not the bluster.

He was doing the same at Fastnet and look where that went…

Evokes memories of Fastnet Oil & Gas.

An over exuberant CF, not always matched by reality!

Not a great deal of logic to the share price today, maybe there is news imminent? There’s certainly a lot due.

The differential (in value) between buys and sells is £500k representing 0.217% of the market cap and its down 5.39%.

It’s obviously not supply and demand driving this down!
