At 10%? I'm ignorant on the exact regulations, but I'd be surprised if it wouldn't then be classed as transhipment and be subject to home country rate of 39% of the transhipment rate of 40%. Given how valuable gold is, it is stamped and well recorded, if once in the UK it was just recast and stamped. Then I think it would be fairly obvious. To avoid the transhipment tarrifs I think i would have to be significantly altered i.e. into coins, jewellery,ect.

Wet season in brazil is Nov-April with the accumulation of rainful being a major portion of the issue, so q1 has always and will always be weakest quater of the year for the region. Hoch from the very start have communicated that 2nd half of the year is the strongest half (with the majority of the slack coming from q1) so with a guidance of 99k per annum the expectation is the mine should be producing over 50k in h2 (not the case for 2025).

If we managed 28.42k in a bad wet season with significant tailing problems its laughably stupid to believe that we will only achieve the 21.58k needed to achieve 50k for the year. Q4 2025 will result in more than 21.58k alone.

As has been explained to the slow student Sotolo, hedges are a financial instrument that are realised to the P&L as exceptional items and sit on the balance sheet as a short & long term liability as gold spot is sitting above the profitable hedge prices. @BPat - Sotolo’s Mara Rosa claim “won’t be solved by next year” is at best deliberately miss leading . Please listen to the call or read the transcript. Long story short. The filters that were performing well enough in the dry season last year fell below the standard needed to meet the tailings solidity in the permit. So what has been worked on during June/July is Hoc has called in the manufactures of the filters to try to get the operating closer to the level which they are meant to be. Hopefully they can get the filters working correctly and then the max capacity of (from memory) 5 the systems together exceed the throughput of the plant operating at capacity. Now they believe that during years of particularly bad rainfall the filters may underperform their specs and so a "thickener" will be purchased and installed to cover the worse rainy seasons in terms of tailings being an issue. (if memory serves me right E. Landin said it will be in the region of 2-8m to purchase and install). So I imagine Mr Sentimental investor has taking the date at which the thickener will be install and tried to deceive ignorant readers in this forums that the mine wont be fully operational till next year. Why? idk, probably cus he has no good reasoning to share to support his 50-60k prediction that he is standing by to save face.

I don't understand how someone can waste decades investing in one industry yet still have such a terribly poor understanding, of what in the case of production (exploration excluded), is a pretty damn simple business (relatively to most other industries).

What will it take for you to dump your 500k shares of Hoc, at what by your own claims, are above reasonable prices. well the transcript of the call is published please provide a direct quote that production "won't be solved till next year" the only thing they won't have till next year is the thickner which is only needed in the long term to ensure redundancy as the existing filters capacity exceeds that of plant throughput capacity.

Theres a pretty big chance royropata ends up being alot larger than the 100k ounces initially thought after a doubling of reserves discovered in 2024. Along with grade and tpd capacity of existing plant. Altho i wouldn't count on it, there is a chance that royropata overtakes inmca in importance (would need to reach close to its on-paper potential along with silver strengthening on gold a little).

Monte as far as been communicated to us is still on track to be a 100k per year mine. As disappointing as MR has been for 2025 in the long run its in the region of 1/6th of total hoch production over life of mine. On top of this the 2025 MR issues will very likely be a one-off (atleast to this extent, extent being 70ish k).

Without Mara rosa, hochschild mining is conservatively worth more than £1.4b given precious metal prices dont fall off a cliff over the next 15 yrs.
