@BPat - Sotolo’s Mara Rosa claim “won’t be solved by next year” is at best deliberately miss leading . Please listen to the call or read the transcript. Long story short. The filters that were performing well enough in the dry season last year fell below the standard needed to meet the tailings solidity in the permit. So what has been worked on during June/July is Hoc has called in the manufactures of the filters to try to get the operating closer to the level which they are meant to be. Hopefully they can get the filters working correctly and then the max capacity of (from memory) 5 the systems together exceed the throughput of the plant operating at capacity. Now they believe that during years of particularly bad rainfall the filters may underperform their specs and so a "thickener" will be purchased and installed to cover the worse rainy seasons in terms of tailings being an issue. (if memory serves me right E. Landin said it will be in the region of 2-8m to purchase and install). So I imagine Mr Sentimental investor has taking the date at which the thickener will be install and tried to deceive ignorant readers in this forums that the mine wont be fully operational till next year. Why? idk, probably cus he has no good reasoning to share to support his 50-60k prediction that he is standing by to save face.
Now as for hedges:
"As previously reported, the Company executed hedges
in 2023 and 2024 to ensure an ongoing level of cash flow
stability which includes a hedge taken in February 2024 in
respect of 60,000 ounces of gold produced at Inmaculada
in 2025 with an average floor of $2,000 per ounce and an
average ceiling of $2,485 per ounce. "
"The remaining commitments from the 2023 hedges in
respect of production from Mara Rosa are as follows:
• 2025: 50,000 ounces of gold at a fixed price of
$2,117 per ounce
• 2026: 50,000 ounces of gold at a fixed price of
$2,167 per ounce
• 2027: 50,000 ounces of gold at a fixed price of
$2,206 per ounce"
over character limit so will follow up on second comment
