Don't know what all this cruise ship talk is about. I can only presume it's a pop at me for being invested in SAGA.
FYI, Saga is primarily an insurance company nothing like say Carnival which is a cruise company.
At this moment in time I would rather be looking at cruise ships than dots on a map, bit more tangible don't you think?

My original post on this Subject was the euphoria on here every time we receive news about 'progress' in Kosovo but nobody knows or understands what the actual progress is and the nature of the potential there.

Has anyone noticed, It's amazing how many "investors" on here managed to invest in lloyds sub 25p as they put it, informing the BB some 2 months after the event.

3cb, there were no monies from this fund raise mentioned for an additional investment in Vardar, although funds will be available if they wish to.
But I wouldn't expect a pre announcement on this issue.
Vardar have no obligation to publish their input into Kosovo but I believe, judging by BEM's RNS releases, they're not investing like for like.

How many investors on here actually understand what exactly is going on in Kosovo?
After each and every release of an RNS update (not just talking about today's release) relating to our progress with Vardar Minerals there's usually a few comments about it being a great, positive, promising, optimistic announcement call it what you want. No company is going to release a negative RNS about its own progress when it needs more funds from its investors. Any bad news is usually from another source, followed by either a rebuttal or a good company spin on it.

I haven't a clue what these Kosovo updates are about, but that's probably because -
1) I haven't done any research into it. It's all about Kallak for me.
2) I'm not a competent person to be able to understand/review this.

Now we know that an official RNS about these matters have to include a section completed by a "Competent Person." However judging by the responses here, there seems to be no shortage of competent people who post on this BB evaluating this.

Early exploration of Kallak was completely different as this was exclusively about the iron ore, there were no shortage of contributors who understood this and it was comparatively easy to get up to speed.

The only thing that caught my eye from today's RNS was this statement -
"With each new set of results from Kosovo, the drill programme for 2021 is being refined; plans will be finalised after the Capital Raising is complete."
From which I conclude, once again that we, BEM, are the sole providers of finance in Kosovo.
As I've said before, I feel a little uncomfortable with providing all the finance for the operations as well as separately purchasing an ever rising value percentage of Vardar that we are providing.

Are there any contributors to this BB who could provide us all with a quick appraisal to-date of events in Kosovo. I know at this stage, all this work and investment is only exploration and no returns are guaranteed. There must be some simple (layman's terms) explanation of the potential and possible expected returns, something that provides the confidence for continued investment not only by the company but also the investors.

I'm not holding my breath for a reply as I believe all or most are just like me, (as I said earlier being honest) haven't a clue.

Regardless of the speculation as I understand it there will be no decision until UNESCO give their answer to the government's questions.
There's no timeline for this and I can't see them bypassing it.

I'm sorry my views don't coincide with yours but if you can show a post of mine on here where I have stated the SP is going to be lower than the current price then I'll be interested to see it. Feel free to copy and paste it.

As for my posting history, if you check back you'll find my recent contributions are probably condensed into the last month or so mainly answering questions of a defamatory nature like the previous one accusing me of deramping this share.

I have long since stopped following closely the trials and tribulations of this BEM saga Suzy.
Guess that's why I was not up to speed on the KU and it's recently published report.
BEM does not hold a prominent place within my holdings, however I do keep checks on the SP which gain my interest whenever there's an upward movement.
My current BEM shares have for some time now just been sitting there (much like yours, I would guess) but although no-one likes a loss, my records show that they have been attained with a miniscule outlay. So I'll keep these until a decision is forthcoming, at 7p a sell is a no
brainer:-))

This is the EU P2566, nothing the EU does has a strict timeframe, it's nature and history is one of last minute triumphant announcements.

Take the covid recovery fund for instance. Announced with much fanfare earlier this year but still not in operation, they've tied it into the EU budget and now Hungry and Poland have vetoed it, apparently because they have to abide by EU rules to gain access.
This virus is a world wide emergency and Brussels in their wisdom have used it to try and enforce other issues. Meanwhile their citizens continue to suffer without the promised support.
Just another reason for all to celebrate that we have finally left this failing experiment and we won't be going back.
If the market takes a hit through no deal, for the sake of your children and grandchildren, in fact all future generations, it would have been worth it.
The lloyds SP fails into insignificance in the grand scheme of things.

Any government intervention is usually detrimental to any organisation and by nature the SP. Saying that some regulations are inevitable, it's just that they balloon beyond their original remit.
The sale of TSB was a directive from, some would say the good old EU, but I wouldn't.

Just had a flip through, seems to me this report is just a overall observation of what has gone before but offers no direction for further actions.

This can also be judged by the SP reaction.

Just for interest, do you remember the days when the FT used to publish multi pages of every listed share followed by a 4 digit number, the only way to get a price was to phone a number followed by the 4 digit code, this gave you a recording of the latest (15 minutes lag) price. I guess it took the pressure off your broker supplying prices.
Folks can't imagine what trading was like then, waiting for a share certificate to arrive, obviously way before the internet platforms, this was probably the eighty's.
Haven't learnt much since those days.

M757, that's the ECB's outlook, majority of European banks are in a serious condition, especially compared to UK bank's.

lbjj is exactly correct, you always leave what is a guaranteed purchase at a specific price until later.
All talk of the monies going to BEM will make absolutely no difference to your investment or BEM's bottom line.

Here's an example, I recently took part in a capital raise at SAGA followed by a consolidation. After the announcement the SP retreated below the offer price. At that point I bought the same number of shares as my entitlement on the open market (still retaining my entitlement).
The SP drop continued well past the offer price, so I purchased many more, again on the open market. My entitlement obviously lapsed.
Surely it's basic financial sense, but saying all that, even after applying to your broker for your intended take-up, you should be able to cancel anytime up to the closure point. As you know in practice that's not always possible, another reason for you to be in control and not the broker.
